Wednesday in New Hampshire, John McCain endorsed Willard at a town hall event. After the love fest, they opened it up to questions -- which was a big mistake.
The fist question was by an Occupier, and he really let Willard have it. >
“It seems that the U.S. is a great place to be a corporation,’’ the man said, “but increasingly a desperate place to live and work.’’
“Where do you think corporations’ profits go?’’ Romney asked.
“ It goes to the 1 percent of Americans who own the 90 percent of stocks ,’’ the man responded and continued to press him.
That's how it's done, ladies and gentlemen. Willard then pathetically replied, >
“You’ve had your turn,’’ Romney said. “Now it’s my turn. . . . Corporations are made up of people and the money goes to people either to hire people or to pay shareholders. They’re made up of people. So somehow thinking that there’s something else out there that we could grab money from and get taxes from and everything would be better . . . why, they’re still people .’’
Here's hoping Willard keeps up this "corporations are people" stuff all throughout 2012. Winning message.
Later, a woman tells Willard that she doesn't think much of Reaganomics. >
“ After 20 years of Reagan economics, trickle down theory, it didn’t help me, ’’ she said. “My tin can is still empty.’’
“Let me ask you a question: Can you tell me where it’s better to live, where the income per person is better than in America ?’’ Romney responded.
In other words, "Suck it up, lady -- or go back to China." Super classy.
I think Willard laid out a couple good campaign bumper stickers there. "Romney 2012: Corporations Are People" or "Romney 2012: Be Grateful You're Not Living in a Third World Country."

In John chapter 8 the Bible records a story about an ancient version of a porn star, brought to Jesus by Pharisees wanting to stone her for sleeping with a married man. Jesus goes to bat for the woman as an advocate, risking association and ridicule. He then asks her where her accusers are. We answer that question today: "not at The City Church."___

Are Politicians More Willing to Talk God Than Science?
Complete video at: fora.tv Are politicians more comfortable discussing religion than science? Harvard physicist Lisa Randall discusses the role that scientists play in public discourse, stressing the importance of their participation. ----- IDEAS THAT ACCELERATE: SCIENCE MULTIPLIERS On the Frontiers of Physics A conversation with: Lisa Randall, Frank B. Baird, Jr. Professor of Science, Harvard University Ira Flatow, Science Friday, NPR Compass Summit, a forum for true interaction and exchange, examines some of today's most pressing problems through the lens of global citizenship, recognizing that human ingenuity is an unlimited resource. Guided by NPR's Ira Flatow, an intimate group of some of the world's best thinkers and doers convened along the rugged Palos Verdes coastline on Oct 23-26, 2011 at Terranea Resort to engage in meaningful conversation, ask questions, and challenge ideas -- we invite you to join in the conversation. Lisa Randall is an American theoretical physicist and a leading expert on particle physics and cosmology. She works on several of the competing models of string theory in the quest to explain the fabric of the universe. Her most well known contribution to the field is the Randall-Sundrum model, first published in 1999 with Raman Sundrum. She was the first tenured woman in the Princeton University physics department and the first tenured female theoretical physicist at MIT and Harvard University. The Search for the True Mona Lisa Begins in Florence
For more news visit ? english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ? http Add us on Facebook ? facebook.com Historians and scientists use new technology to answer a very old question: what is the true identity of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa? Heres' more. For over five centuries art lovers have asked, "Who was the Mona Lisa?" A team of art historians, armed with the latest technical gadgetry, descend on a dilapidated convent in Florence on Wednesday. They're hoping to finally solve the mystery. Italian art historians believe the woman who modeled for Leonardo da Vinci's painting back in the sixteenth century was the wife of a nobleman, Lisa Gherardini. But there is no definitive proof. Scientist now plan to find the remains of Gherardini, reconstruct her face and prove she is the woman in one of the world's most famous paintings. The search begins in the Saint Orsola convent, a structure in central Firenze. It's now almost reduced to ruins. Little is visible of the small church that's believed to be where Gherardini is buried. But using the latest in ground-penetrating radar equipment, scientists are scanning the floor in the small church to pinpoint areas where they may start digging. [Professor Francesco Mallegni, Paleoanthropologist, University of Pisa]: "Here Gherardini spent the last few years of her life because she had two sons and two daughters and her daughters were nuns. One of these nuns looked after her in the last moments of her life and she was buried here ... From: NTDTV Views: 40 0 ratings Time: 02:49 More in News & Politics

DW-TV: Hanna von Hoerner is certainly an exceptional woman - but what about today's career women? What chances do they have in a corporate world? Let's discuss this question with Heiner Thorborg who is an executive search consultant and headhunter. How often is it that you place women in jobs over men, and for what positions? Heiner Thorborg: Still relatively seldom because there aren't so many obvious choices around and there are far more men than women. However my clients repeatedly ask for female candidates so it's up to the search profession to change methodology, to change approach and to really look for good, capable, qualified women. DW-TV: How big a role does gender play when hunting / looking for the right person to fill a vacancy? Heiner Thorborg: Absolutely because the pressure has become so hot over the last couple of years. The quota is right around the corner. Europe talks about a quota, the German government is still reluctant but the quota is there. So they understand, they got the message. Now they're changing and they really look actively for women. When you talk about supervisory boards, whenever a seat becomes available, it's going to be filled by a woman. DW-TV: Here in Germany we are currently experiencing a heated debate about whether or not to introduce a gender quota - I take it you are against such a quota - why? Heiner Thorborg: Definitely against it. Because a quota means force. You're forcing either the woman into these positions and maybe they don't want it sometimes. Or you have to force males out and in a free economy that to me is a no-no. DW-TV: But so far very few women made it to the top in German DAX companies. How else can you deal with that situation if not using force like a quota? Heiner Thorborg: Well you don't have a quota in the active management board anywhere in the world. Nowhere. Norway is always cited as an example but we only talk about the board of non-executive directors, not executive directors. Because at that level - executive directors - it's almost impossible to force it onto the company and to increase the women's share to 10, 15, 20, 30 percent. So no. DW-TV: Okay. So no quota but some kind of force or incentive. Heiner Thorborg, thank you very much for joining us. (Interview: Monika Jones)
