Facebook has been all over the news, with last week's lackluster IPO and this week's lawsuits, but, if you remember, just a few weeks ago, Facebook spent a billion dollars buying Instagram, a very popular photo sharing site. Well, yesterday, Facebook launched its own camera app called, wait for it: Facebook Camera, that can only be described as Instagram-lite. Except – other than some fun filters, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Instagram at all. Available only for Apple iDevices, the company says Facebook Camera makes Facebook photos more fun and accessible. The app lets you crop photos and add colorful filters (just like Instagram). And you can also upload multiple pictures at once. Most of the reviewers I know like Facebook Camera and I do too. It's much faster than using the regular Facebook app and I like the way Facebook Camera lets you share and display your pictures. What's next? You mean after Facebook redesigns your profile page again?

Story 1:
It’s been a long tough road for the Gearbox developed, Sega published game based on the classic sci-fi movie series Alien. And it just got a bit longer.
Gearbox announced on Monday that the game would be delayed...again. The game will now come out at the beginning of next year. New new release date will fall on February 12 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game. There is still no word on when the Wii U version of the game will release.
In a post on the Sega Blog, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said that “Because the game was 'announced' with that original press release, it might feel, to those of you who have been waiting for the game since then, that it has been in development a long time. In fact, with the release date now set, it turns out that the total development time we have spent creating Aliens: Colonial Marines is about the same length of time as we had spent creating the original Borderlands or the original Brothers in Arms”
To help sooth the pain a little, Gearbox has released a new trailer to hopefully tide gamers over until next year.
I know a few gamers have really been looking forward to this, but hopefully the extra time till let them make the best game they can. Fingers crossed.

Story 2:
I was announced awhile back that Activision would be making a new game to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise, and we now have a release date.
007 Legends will release on October 16th, just month month ahead of the next film in the long running franchise: Skyfall.
They have also released a brand new trailer that shows off the level based on the 1979 Roger Moore Bond film Moonraker. This will be just one of the six classic Bond films that will make up the narrative of the game.
This is the only Bond film we know about yet, but since we still have several months until release, I’m sure we will find out more soon.
The game is being developed by Eurocom, who were the developers of the PS2 version of Quantum of Solace as well as last year’s remake of Goldeneye 007.
We heard good things about that remake, and it should be fun to go back into Bond’s long history in game form. Definitely on my to watch list.

Following up the heels of the anti-climactic 2010 straight to video release of "Tekken", Crystal Sky production company is working on a prequel. They're starting from scratch and hiring all new people. They've hired a new director - Prachya Pinkaew -- famous for his Thai martial arts movies like Ong Bak and The Protector. This time around, the movie will not have known actors but instead actors who look like the characters in the original video game. For those not familiar, Tekken is a long-running 3D fight franchise from Namco that started in arcades in 1994 and was an early hit for Playstation. The term "Tekken" literally translates from Japanese kanji to "Iron Fist", which is the name of the tournament in the game. It's about a handful of fighters in a dsytopian future who fight in the King of Iron First Tournament run by the Tekken corporation. With Prachya directing, it's sure to have some killer fight sequences. "Tekken: Rise of the Tournament" is currently in production but no news on a release date yet.
