The 360 is now top dog and winter is coming to your game device.
SHOW NOTES:
Story 1:
The Xbox 360 has been PRETTY dominant this console cycle, and now it has finally become the top selling console IN THE WORLD!!!!
According to a story by our friends over at Destrutcoid, for the last quarter of the year, Microsoft sold 8.2 million Xbox consoles. That easily beats Sony’s total of 6.5 million and Nintendo’s 5.6 million. Total sales for the year are a bit closer, with Microsoft just edging out Sony with the 360 selling 14.9 million to the PS3’s 14.1.
Now to put that in perspective though. If you look at lifetime sales, Nintendo is still the top dog with 95 million Wiis sold. But with Wii sales slowing down, Nintendo releasing the Wii U later this year, and new consoles from Sony and Microsoft STILL a few years away. It looks like there is still time for Microsoft to still become the dominant console of this generation.

Story 2:
The Game of Thrones series of books are very popular, and the TV show was a BIG hit when it debut last year on HBO.
Well now it seems that fans of the George R. R. Martin fantasy series have something else to occupy their time.
Atlus games has announced that it will be releasing their Game of Thrones RPG on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on May 15th.
The game is being developed by Cyanide Studio, and will feature the town of Riverspring, which is dealing with the death of Lord Sarwyck. The game looks to have you playing as several different characters across parallel storylines as you deal with a threat to the kingdom of Westeros.
The game will drop about a month after the second season of the TV show starts. So if you are a fan on the series, and are looking for new RPG, then it looks like this could be a perfect fit.

Shooter Jennings - "The Deed And The Dollar": SXSW 2012 Showcasing Artist
"I am beginning to believe the deals our forefathers made with the Devil not that long ago sealed our fate as well as theirs. How many generations will the Calling seduce and intoxicate? Did any of us have a choice? The salvation of the lonely road country blues fever is passed down, each generation stubbornly as rebellious as the one that infected and inspired it. Thank God for the Curse; the velocity and quality of modern day Roots music is the only saving grace I see in these sorry times and it gives me hope for our children."- Luther Dickinson/North Mississippi Allstars and the Black Crowes Shooter Jennings has worn many hats throughout his career: the self-described "son of a rebel saint," the hell-raising vigilante minister at a revival of true country music, the radical prophet using rock and roll as his medium, the guiding light for an ever-growing army of young musicians who are, like Shooter himself, outsiders in today's music business. Now after a career where he has done everything from sharing the stage with Alice in Chains to writing songs for the Oak Ridge Boys, Shooter will finally reveal the man at the heart of it all when he releases "Family Man" in early 2012. Shooter Jennings also has been moonlighting for over six years as a radio DJ. His "Electric Rodeo" airs Saturdays at 6pm EST and re-airs Sundays at 10pm EST in Outlaw Country, only on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Racial discrimination in federal offices during the presidency of Woodrow Wilson implicated the United States government in the economic limitation of African Americans in the early twentieth century. The Civil Service's stable pay and chance for promotion had helped to foster a vibrant black middle class in the nation's capital. This promising island in Jim Crow America was maintained by a political patronage coalition of black and white Republican politicians. Patronage was a fundamental element of American politics. This talk will reveal how African Americans used federal employment to establish a bulwark against a rising tide of racism in the United States. When Wilson's Democrats came to Washington in the spring of 1913, they brought with them an administrative ideology that combined progressive politics and white supremacy. The result was diminished political power and fewer economic opportunities for African Americans in Washington, D.C. Speaker Biography: Eric Yellin is assistant professor of history and American studies at the University of Richmond.
