Female lead singer Gao Xiao-gao is getting pretty famous within Taiwan's and China's indie scenes for being outrageous on stage, including showing up for one gig wearing a nude leotard painted to look like she really was buck naked. The entire scene did a triple take on that one, both at the show and the next day on Facebook. Formed in 2004, White Eyes takes their name from a Taiwanese expression for people who say out loud those embarrassing things that everyone knows about. They've opened for international acts The Music and These New Puritans in Taiwan, were named best indie band at Taiwan's 2009 Hohaiyan Music Festival, and their gigging experience covers Taiwan, China and Japan. First up is the widely anticipated sequel to one of 2009’s best games. Next up is the latest in the well loved Professor Layton series. Professor Layton and the Last Specter begins a brand new trilogy with more of the puzzles and brain teasers that fans have come to love about the series. In fact, there will be more puzzles than any other game in the series so far. The game will also feature a new role playing game where the game characters will wander around “Little London,” where players can customize their characters with special clothing and perform tasks to help out the townspeople.
If you are already a fan of the previous games, or just like a good puzzle as well as a good story, and a damn long intro, be sure to check this out.
GAME #3:
In the latest Ratchet and Clank game, All 4 One, our heroic duo will have to team up with the bumbling ex-hero Qwark and their old enemy Dr. Nefarious as they try to escape from a powerful and mysterious machine. In a first for the series, the game will feature four player cooperative game play. You can play together either on the couch or online. It will also have the crazy weapons that the series is know for, as well as unique skills for each character.
The Ratchet and Clank games are always good dumb fun, and who doesn’t need some dumb fun in their life? everyday life can be pretty rough? am i right? dumb fun kinda levels the playing field.

GAME #1:
First up is the brand new first person shooter from from id Software, which im buying day one. Rage takes place in a not too distant future where a asteroid impacted the Earth, leaving behind a world that has been devastated. Your character will travel this vast wasteland, facing hordes of gangs, mutants, and the oppressive governmental Authority. Featuring id’s all new idTech 5 engine that will feature stunning visuals (although at a larger file size, as we mentioned last Wednesday). The game looks stunning, and the expanded gameplay .. vehicle stuff and not just first person .. seems rad.
So suit up and head out into the wasteland with me - and lets get our Rage on. theres something dirty there .. like right almost there. rage on ..? never mind.
GAME #2:
Next up is Dark Souls. The spiritual sequel to 2009’s Demon Souls will again challenge players with a world where you have lost your soul, and go on a quest to get it back.
The 60 hour game features a seamless world, with unforgiving and punishing gameplay, flexible character development, and online player interaction. AND yes .. its harder.
So if you want to give up a chunk of your life to an addictive and torturous game...Dark Souls is a safe bet.
GAME #3:
2K Sports is know for their basketball series, and this year’s version is a celebration of the greatest NBA players of all time. It will feature tons of legendary players as well some very cool visual affects when playing in different eras. Graining and black and white footage for older time periods is a way cool addition. 2K12 will aslo feature a new control mechanic that gives more ball control, and you’ll be able to shoot, pass, steal, dribble and dunk more effectively. I tried this and shooting with the right stick actually felt damn good.
Listen .. 2K should be making the madden games and this game is the reason. The stadiums, audience, montages, player interactions and physics. This is how sports games should be made.

GAME #4:
And lastly today we have a brand new Spiderman game from the same developers who created the well received Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions.
Like that game, Spiderman: Edge of Time takes place in two different times, featuring the modern day Amazing Spiderman, and the distant future Spiderman 2099.
The game will take place over both times, as one man goes back to the past, which will create a future dystopia, and lead to the death of Peter Parker. The game features a cause and effect gameplay system where the actions in one time will affect the other and vice versa.
If you are a fan of Spiderman, and enjoyed Shattered Dimensions, then this game sounds like it should scratch your superhero itch. and also .. have you pondering future dystopia.
I wonder if we could cause one? Y’know a future dystopia. You wanna try...after the show?

GAME #1:
First up is Deus Ex: Human Revolution. can i just say BOUGHT as soon as the store opens?! This prequel to the award winning first person shooter helps tell the beginnings of mankind’s first foray into cybernetic augmentation. You play as Adam Jensen, good strong name, a security agent for Sarif Industries who is injured in an attack and forced to undergo augmentation in order to survive. Rumor has it this leads to a larger conspiracy that will encompass the ENTIRE WORLD.
Also there’s supposedly fantastic uber open world gameplay. so … yeah buy this game.
GAME #2:
Next we have Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. In this 3D upgrade to the original 2009 DS game, you will find yourself in a Tokyo that is in lock down after a other dimensional demon invasion.
You know .. no big thing. Dimensional demon invasion? Yeah just locks your doors and you should be OK.
You will play as one of four squads that will fight off the demons with summoned demons of your own. It is a strategy game at heart, and you will go to auctions to gain new demonic soldiers, and you can also fuse demons together to create stronger combatants.
If you are a fan of strategy games, and if you like the Shin Megami Tensei series, this is a no brainer. And if you recently picked up a 3DS after the price drop, this is a good starter game to go with it.
GAME #3:
And lastly we have Tropico 4. In this installment of the popular management/dictator sim, you again take on the role of El Presidente of a tropical island nation. You are tasked with governing the populous and see to their needs, while making sure to guard against potential rivals. You will also have to deal with natural disasters that befall the island, and build up your island as a potential tourist destination. You will also need to trade with foreign nations in order to strengthen your economy and provide for your citizenry.
Although wheres the drug smuggling? I mean...right?

Also in a special note to Press Pause viewers. Nintendo recently announced it was adding four titles to it’s “Nintendo Selects” line of budget game titles. Starting on August 28th, Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Charged, the remake of Punch Out!, and Super Mario Galaxy will join The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers and Wii Sports in the program. If you've ever wondered how one can make money blogging and video blogging, this 30-minute, three-part video series I stumbled over a few minutes ago can give you some guidance.
On March 24th, 2009, I was a guest of Christina Marie on her show SF Live. The subject was "Blogging, YouTube, and Video-Blogging for Dollars," but in truth, I just came up with that title, because we didn't have one for the show. The video says "Political Focus" but that wasn't our objective at all.
Here, I talk about how you can get started in blogging, and what a blog is. Christina and I then talk about how to make money with blogging, the Google AdSense ad platform, blog sponsorship, and affiliate marketing.
Then the focus shifts to video-blogging, and something called The YouTube Partner Program, which I've been a part of since 2007.
At the time I just started the TV show The Blog Report With Zennie62, and was fresh off an incredible year where my work was featured on CNN many times.
The video information, even thought it's just over a year old, is a little dated. 12 Seconds.tv just shut down a month ago. And this was before I started blogging with different news websites, in addition to Zennie62.com. So I have more advise that works well for a new video.
Is this self-promotion, too? YEAH, of course it is! And you should learn to do it yourself; this economy's not going to improve any time soon, and whining about what others are doing is not going to make it any better. You have to get out and become a doer yourself, not a complainer. You think Google doesn't promote itself ? Ha! Running has become the exercise of choice among women these days. Research shows that in 1989, 908,000 women finished a race. In 2009, that number topped more than 5 million. It's a brisk fall night, perfect for a run. And, the sport is growing. Last year, more than 10 million people finished a race, a record high, according to Running USA. The research group also determined in a bad economy, running is a good value. People get back a sense of control. It's inexpensive and comes with a solid return, improved health. Jim Newsom of Fort Worth Running Co says "when the economy's bad like this, you see more people going to running. It's something they can do on their own, doesn't require a lot of money, and they can finish it and do it and it makes them feel good the rest of the day." Women, especially, are picking up the pace. Running USA reports 908,000 women finished a race in 1989. In 2000, the number topped more than 5 million. Belia Mathis is a newcomer. She started running back in the summer, and listen to her goal now. Belia Mathis says "it was to run a half-marathon and now it's to run the full marathon." Kim Jenkins has a similar story. Her new lifestyle started after she joined a group at the Fort Worth Running Company called "Couch to 5k." Kim says "I'm happy to say i'm running 3 miles straight and i wasn't even able to run a full mile without being winded." We asked this group of women runners how they compare to a snapshot of the typical female runner. Deborah says "nearly 80% have a college degree. Who fits in that category? Wow, quite a few of you. The typical female runner is married. The typical female has a household income of $75,000. The typical female runner is in her mid 30s." And, there's the social aspect. Women like tackling goals with girlfriends. Runner Hillary Mancuso says "there's about 10 of us that will travel somewhere in the us. We'll say, 'this is where we're gonna go,' and we all pitch in and we get hotel rooms for all of us." Runner Emily Hueske says "I really enjoy running. It's a hard thing to do on your own. Last time I did the half marathon, I had a friend who trained with me so it's a social thing." Women on the run and improving their bottom line. The typical female runner also runs or jogs about four hours a week. She prefers the half-marathon and mainly runs for exercise, and she likely bought three pairs of running shoes over the last 12 months.
