After a few months of having it jailbroken, I eventually decided to restore my iphone back to apple approved standards. Here is my tutorial on how to backup and unjailbreak in six easy steps: 1.) Go into Cydia and install ""AptBackup"", then open the App from your home screen and back up all of your Cydia addons and settings. 2.) Open the iTunes App store App and install the ""Funambol"" App then go to your home screen and open the App and make an account and backup your contacts and photos if nessary. 3.) Connect your jailbroken iPhone, iPod touch, and or iPad to your computer. 4.) Load up itunes. Be sure that this is the itunes that you normally sync your iDevice with. This will ensure that your phone is restored with the proper firmware. 5.) Now that your iDevice is connected, you are ready to put your iDevice in DFU mode. Push the ""home and power buttons"" for ten secods then release the ""power button"" and keep holding the ""home button"" for another ten seconds until you hear a beep from iTunes. 6.) You will proabily be asked to updrade and restore your device. Click yes or okay. And that's it, your iDevice will be upgraded on the latest firmwae and restored to manufacturey settings! ""Supported Devices"": - iPod Touch 2G (all bootroms) - iPod Touch 3G - iPod Touch 4G - iPad 1G - iPhone 3Gs (all bootroms) - iPhone 4 - iPhone 4 Verizon - Apple TV 2 ""Troubleshooting Tips"": 1.) If your iDevice didn't go into DFU mode and it remanes in a back screen then, hold the home and power buttons for ten seconds or until you see the Apple logo. This will undo anything harmful you have done. 2.) If your iDevice still dosen't go into DFU mode then it might be because you are using a faulty USB conection cable. 3.) If you are infact getting on unknown error then, try restarting your computer. Or restalling iTunes. 4.) And if all go's wrong and you need quick and instant help. The controls are pretty sweet. There’s like a touchpad on the left for forward back and strafe. Just swipe up, down, left or right to look around and there is a button in the bottom right to shoot. Again, the controls are amazing. You can tap and hold the firing button for fully automatic. Also, when you run up to sand bags and other things to hide behind, your character ducks automatically. You can tap the gun in the top left corner to pause the game and it also brings up a full menu. To throw a grenade you tap on the grenade in the top right corner then aim where you want it and push the fire button. The multitouch works great! It’s easy to control and gets easier as you get used to it. There was a few times where a fence or wall that I was standing by would get in my view. Overall, if you like FPS then this is about as good as it’s gonna get on the iPhone. Now they just need multiplayer mode via online or network!

Brian's "essential" applications on his Samsung Q1: Microsoft Office, Firefox, and Microsoft Money Is Firefox the exception to the "Linux applications don't have a good interface/user experience" stereotype? How easy is it going to be to "install any app you want" on the upcoming Linux MIDs? The challenges of adapting applications to devices on smaller screen. UMPCScrollBar - a great little app that lets you scroll windows around the smaller UMPC screen, so you can get to the "Install" and "OK" buttons that get pushed off the bottom of the screen. Intel Software Network's mobility community makes tons of resources, tools, and smart people available for people writing applications for these devices. Take advantage of us! Without great software, Intel products are just a bunch of really tiny hot plates. :-) Have we discovered the REAL reason Intel has chosen not to deploy Windows Vista? Is it because NetMeeting is no longer there? Microsoft stopped distributing NetMeeting in 1998 - TEN YEARS AGO. But Intel lives and breathes NetMeeting - old habits die hard. (Update after the show: according to Wikipedia, Microsoft released a hotfix that allows you to download and install NetMeeting on Vista. Guess we were wrong! ;-) ) Macs do Screen Sharing, based on VNC, but there's NO way on a Mac to participate in a NetMeeting call, because it's a closed, proprietary Microsoft protocol. Google Docs is GREAT for live collaboration. PowerPoint is a great presentation tool, but it is NOT a collaboration tool! It gets abused WAY too often. PowerPoint abuse starts early - Brian's 7th grade son is already doing it! New recording time - Wednesday morning instead of Friday afternoon. Hope this gets the show out faster, and Josh and Brian perkier. Josh's morning voice - he's not a morning person. Brian gets up at 5:30 AM.
