A proposed draft called for Assad to step down over the many deaths his regime has caused in an ongoing crackdown against peaceful protestors. The veto from Russia and China, however, prevents any formal action from taking place under the auspices of the UN Security Council. The vetoes have been widely condemned in the West, with the German ambassador to the UN calling the move "despicable", and the US government calling it a "travesty." All 13 current Security Council members but Russia and China voted for the resolution, which happened to coincide with the bloodiest single day so far of the Syrian uprising. Folk, jazz, and classical and now she has ended up in some kind of pop/rock element. With her family she took her first steps up on stage, starting out in a small village in the middle of Sweden where she grew up. Her first instrument was the transverse flute and later on it became the piano. The composing part started much later, while she was studying music 2002-2004, during the same time she formed her first band, \"Anna Ihlis quartett\" She played at some of the jazz clubs in Sweden. 2005 was the year that took her to Stockholm and that`s when she seriously started to compose, after getting a scholarship from her home village she did her first show with a band performing only original songs. That was the start of it all. Two years followed and during this years she recorded an EP \"A different dance\" and did her best to book her and the band some shows, while in the process of recording an album, she did a show in Stockholm and there she met Jesper Heed who was in the beginnig of starting up a recordlabel, they shook hands and she became a part of Peace & Love Artists early spring 2009. Paul supporters at the Prime N Wine in Mason City, Iowa were in high spirits during his final stop on the Iowa Whistle-Stop Tour, which he embarked upon with his son, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). Reason.tv was on the scene to gauge the mood and to ask what it is about the Texas congressman that inspires such a devoted following. Answers varied, but common themes were Ron Paul's consistency, his peaceful foreign policy, and his willingness to take serious steps to reduce the deficit. Reason Senior Editor Brian Doherty , whose biography of Paul will be coming out in May, was also there to document the event and provide political commentary. "The interesting thing about Ron Paul fans that I found is that whatever hooks them first," says Doherty, "once they're hooked in, they decide, almost universally, that they like everything about him." Perhaps because they value his logical consistency, most of Paul's supporters told us that they would not be willing to support another Republican candidate should he fail to get the nomination. While many pundits still consider a Paul nomination a long shot, Paul and his supporters feel optimistic about his chances in Iowa. "I definitely expect Ron Paul to come in over 20 [percent]," says Doherty. "Absolutely he'll finish a strong second, and a win is definitely ...
