Born about two months ago, twin white tiger cubs are old enough for the public to get a glimpse of them. In China's Qingdao Forest Wildlife World, twin tigers cubs made their social debut this week, meeting visitors for the first time since they were born two months ago. The pair is a rare species of white Bengal tigers, one of the world's most endangered species. Caretakers have been observing to make sure the male and female twin cubs are healthy. [Zhang Shuangge, Qingdao Forest Wildlife World]: "They have already adapted to the environment to live independently. What we should do now is to pay attention to their diet and to keep appropriate temperature and then there will be basically no problems." The two are now quite playful and have learned how to walk. They recruited the sometimes-touring drummer of Frank Black and the Catholics and all-the-time drummer of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Joe Sirois, to round out their sound and then, with the help of a big-time metal producer who secretly had been following the band for over a year, they cranked out twelve tracks of guitar heavy, bombastic rock and roll that somehow recalls the very best of Hold Me Up era Goo Goo Dolls with enough modern energy to keep it fresh and new sounding. While on tour with Against Me!, Roll The Tanks were lucky enough to catch the attention of Jordan Kleeman, tour manager for Against Me! and founder of Sabot Productions, which is home to recordings by such great bands as Gaslight Anthem, Against Me!, Lucero and The Hold Steady. Chinese human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng's family and friends were shocked and relieved to finally hear news of his whereabouts on Sunday. Gao had been missing for 20 months. On December 16, state media announced Gao had been sentenced to three years in prison. On New Year's Day, Gao's brother, Gao Yi, received official notice that Gao was in the Xinjiang Shaya prison in a remote area of the Uygur Autonomous Region in western China. Gao Yi is very eager to visit his brother in prison, but he estimated it would take at least ten days to travel there. Gao's wife, Geng He was concerned when she heard the news. [Geng He, Gao Zhisheng's Wife]: "He is locked up in that place where there is no transportation. Also, the prisoners are all ethnic minorities. The CCP regime must also have ulterior motives, if it really imprisons Gao Zhisheng there. They want to put him in that isolated area and cut him off.
