That woman was driving for First Student bus company and Milwaukee Public Schools. Per the district's contract with First Student bus company, MPS has demanded the driver not have any contact with kids. Neighbors first showed FOX6 where the driver allegedly was dropping off bags filled with her own waste. It was near I-94 and 60th St. One of the neighbors actually caught on camera, the driver in the act of using the bags as a bathroom. A second tape and another witness backs up the acts. One of the neighbors said, ""She took down her pants and turned around and did something you'd probably never do on a bus... The bus would stop right here by the curb, once in a while by the telephone pole."" The video that neighbor shot shows the driver flicking a cigarette out of the bus, driving down one block and then dumping her own waste along the street."

Even though all the food sold by the store is packaged or bottled, Mansour said he is complying for now and has been leaving Cody at home. Snowbound commuters use kids to hold parking spots
Newsflash from Cap News - Shoveling out a parking spot has become a serious issue for one South Boston community. After trying to save the spots with folding chairs, garbage pails and even a dining room table, they have resorted to using both children and pets to guard the parking spaces. In defense of the practice, a resident who asked to remain anonymous commented, "It's not like I leave my 7 year old daughter out there over night. It's only when I'm making a quick trip like to buy cigarettes or play Keno."
A city official noted that city snow plow drivers are authorized to plow over small obstacles but the children and dogs are impeding their progress.

On the one hand, I think a lot has changed in fifty years, but then I look around at the images of women in Second Life and then I wonder. Maya created her Fembots because she didn't see images of female robots that she could relate to, and perhaps together our installation calls attention to how we choose to image ourselves and others in here. Not enough people have heard the music of Sam Phillips and we want to change that. Sam Phillips writes perfect under 3 minute mini drama's and shapes them into singable stories. We asked her to sing some of her songs and invited her to play an intimate concert at my desk. After hearing our Tiny Desk Concert with Laura Gibson she was eager to do it. Little did we know that our air conditioning would die on a record breaking heat wave of a day. Sam Phillips performs 4 songs with help from Erik Gorfain on electric guitar and his tiny cigarette boxed size amps. He also plays a Stroh violin. You have to see this contraption to believe it.

The 500th episode. Yada yada yada. Secret Cameraman is off island (this seems to happen at all the major milestones!) and I'm waaay busy this week, so it's gonna be just another episode. It occurs to me that we are coming full circle. Used to be, we all really depending on each other for survival, and it was literally life threatening to speak or act outside of the tribal mentality. The big thing of the 60's and the hippies and the boomers and the yuppies, was discovering selfishness.
Now though it seems there are many like Bill Spencer at the Hawaii Venture Capital Association who see the value to us as individuals by taking care of our communities in addition to ourselves. Funny enough, I've been carrying around my rake all week to clean up some of the broken glass and cigarette butts at the beach. While I was talking to Jim C, another man came up to borrow the rake as he wanted to do some clean up too!
No pressure though - maybe today is a day just for you. Either way, it's all good with me.

As of this week, I signed on with a new family practitioner. Result: I have to cold turkey three staples of my lifestyle - soda, cigarettes (which i took up again after a twenty year hiatus) and pizza. All simultaneously! So I'm asking you to help me out! Keep an eye on me. Let me know if I'm getting more irritable than normal! And it may not happen, but Dick Cheney said that he would try and give 'Truth or Tale' a shot. Well, somebody had to say it.
