Ex-inmates accuse guards of the controversial detention center of torture and other mistreatment. Former Guantanamo detainees remembered their years in detention on Tuesday ahead of the 10th anniversary of the controversial prison. 43-year-old Moazzam Begg spent two years in custody without charge before being freed in 2004. Since then he has dedicated himself to campaigning on behalf of those still imprisoned and has set up awareness group Cage Prisoners to lobby for their rights. Begg told journalists at a London news conference he was tortured, abused and interrogated hundreds of times during his incarceration, and that Guantanamo still cast a traumatic shadow over his life.
