The Casting Office - Episode #9 - Licking Latin Lovahs
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 03:52:37 11/21/11
"THIS MATERIAL IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY" Title: "Licking Latin Lovahs" One time I went to this play and it was the most god-awful thing I had ever witnessed. I'm not sure what kind of agitprop theater this pretentious motley crew of viciously artistic performance artists had intended, but as I squirmed in my seat, next to an unforgiveably patchouli-ed young man with dreadlocks and a hippier-than-thou air, I remember feeling pity. Then anger. Then, I felt a LOT of anger. I was angry that they had advertised such an abysmal piece of "art" as "award-winning"- the only thing I found worthy of the production was the fact that the swarms of spiderwebs draped haphazardly across the lighting fixtures didn't explode into flames and send the audience to a fiery red explosion of sweet release from the tortuous dialogue: "But surely- there must be a passcode to break open the scepter of the hegemonic threshold, you harpy temptress of capitalistic sexual evil!"... and btw? I'm paraphrasing. My paraphrase is HEAPS better than the original words uttered. Feel it? Do you feel my anger? It wasn't until the final epic climax, wherein an wheel-chaired Ogra lookalike (from brilliantly mystical 1982 treasure "The Dark Crystal"), was pushed into the audience from out of an eight-foot-wide onstage vagina, that I literally lost the Clif bar I'd scarfed in secret in the dark confines of my seat- to my horror. Sitting through a piece of bad theater is a lot worse than sitting through bad television. Because you can't turn it off. Unless you're like our hapless hero, Mike- who not only has to watch bad television sans ability to turn it off, but has to pretend to LOVE said bad television. Good luck with that, Mike. Good LUCK.

Bryan Ferry Lets It Rock ... again

Bryan Ferry "Cherry-Poppin'' Stories
I'll go first:
I anticipate Bryan's show at the Greek Theater Oct. 15.
My favorite Roxy show of many was in a little town in Lorraine (Salzbourg, actually), France, circa 1974. The band played in a high school gym, which they transported to the sophisticated realms of Radio City once the music started. I think I wrote about it in my piece on the trip for Crawdaddy , but being now a denizen of the"aging crowd," I can't find this piece of writing anywhere except in the smoke dreams of my mind.
This just in!
I did go to the concert and grabbed this little snippet of Chris Spedding on vid .
... to which Bruce Malamut adds the following comment:
> "I remember you also liked Spedding's first three solo albums Songs Without Words, Backwoods Progression (recorded in-between Nilsson Schmilsson sessions) and The Only Lick I Know. Spedding is copious!"
Like Ferry, I like to think I have aged like a fine wine.
But the ultimate erudite benediction comes from the great Bruce Malamut, of the Kings Crown Radio (WKCR) mavens and the Crawdaddy Magazine punters – what are you, some kinda rock crit or sump'n?:
"Style + Substance, well hell yeah – the thrill of it all! I saw Roxy play The 100 Club London, June, '71 and was floored by the hooks, the asymmetries, the film noir refs, the pounding pose of ennui and anti-romanticism, electronic sheen and wailing sax ... oboe, even – these guys screamed avant-garde, loud, hard rock, but I just fully dug the hooks!
"Then the first album was released in '72 and it became clear to all – some of the best players in UK in one band tossing off hooks and choruses effortlessly – sweet! I give it an A- for Side One, which was Ferry's full-tilt rock, and A+ for Side Two, which debuted Eno's virtual keyboard world. There seemed a palpable tension between these two guys live – each a forceful leader in his own right – and it was clear on their first album as well. One of them might need to leave this band, I'd thought, and chart his own path. To me, Roxy the band is far from Brian the singer.
"Roxy the band is the drug for me – look no further than Mackay's wailing sax, the Great Paul Thompson's brutal beats (similar, yet just a few yards to the left of John Bonham's) but mostly the uncredited compositions and bold guitar work of Phil Manzanera. I think people sell Phil's "real time" composing short – true, Bryan would write a new lyric so it's "his song" and bring it to the band – but what the band, invariably lead by Phil, did with a new Ferry song was to de- and re- construct it into a wholly different beast than Bryan had first proposed. This process changed Ferry's songs musically, thus thematically too, marking them as 100% Pure Uncut Roxy Music.
"Their first U.S. tour, they naturally came up to WKCR-FM (how could they not??) for a delightful evening including a white-copy spin of For Your Pleasure. Members present were Ferry, Manzanera, Eno, Mackay (The Great), Thompson.
"In a six-hour interview, one gets a fair impression of one's guests. Everyone endorsed the theory of how Phil is Bryan's equal in the band's composition process, but that's as much as they'd give at least on this First U.S. tour. A fun time was had. Phil and I discovered that we were raised a stone's throw from each other– most unexpected news!
"–B:)"
OK, so now flashforward to 2011. I come across this great photo by Lorenzo Lessi, taken on July 28, 2011 .
Bryan Ferry Live at Bolgheri Melody
Copyright © Lorenzo Lessi 2011 I am lovin' this one. Bryan is playing blues harp through a hand-held mike.
• My cousin Larry , who is five years my junior, had this response:
"You know. Sorry I missed it.. I knew he was coming , Shyster.
"He is great. … I just read yesterday's article in the Financial Times. He is a wine schmecker
"Anyway, Noë, what I do remember, is that a long time ago, I was at your house on 95th street when I first saw that album. You might have even opened it in front me, with the hot girls [Country Life].
"I was really young. That's where I got my first exposure to Roxy Music.
"It is still fresh in my mind."
• Erika Anderson , from the road, on tour, has this to say:
"I would love to go to that show. ... He keeps playing the same theaters we are but we're always about a week off!"

Vidcast #40 - #1 YouTube Kitty Video
[LESS INFO] 12 VIEWS | ADDED 16:58:31 05/23/10
Here is the number one watched music video on kitty cats! It has a nice balance between the unique personalities of cats and the deep love and affection that they create in their owners. Enjoy!
LYRICS: I got this little kitty about 2 months back he was the nicest little kitty, now a pain in my crack This little kitty is a ninja, always stalking my feet This little kitty is a warrior you know what I mean
he's an evil little kitty look what he did to my hand tries to get in trouble in any way that he can I could give this cat a toy, but he'd rather have the wrapper and I will always give him water, but he still drinks from the crapper
You could lock him in a closet and he just won't care kitty chews on my shoes and he licks my hair always scratching on my favorite chair and jumping on the couch playing in the window sills and tearing through the house
He's so full of energy and easily amused kitty will attack anything that moves Causing trouble, starting battles just so he could be a little part of he's a meanest little kitty so we named him sparta
Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite
Where'd you go are you stalking me? are you under the couch, quite possibly ears laid back so you don't get caught ready to pounce my leg with everything that you got
I know you're probably watching me from across the room concentrating contemplating on attacking me soon You're not invisible kitty, I'm gonna find you first Come out come out before I make things worse
I've seen where you hide and I know where you've been Hey kitty why don't you give in Even if you try to sneak up on me, I'm prepared Cause I've got my safety gear on and I'm not scared
I think I hear a kitty cat under the bed I know your making noises just to mess with my head You can stalk me all you want, but I'm not your pray cause you always seem to find me first, but not today
Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight Come on out, I'm gonna get you now
I've got 'em cornered and now he's mine He's not gonna get away this time I'll snatch him up fast before he can blink and then... Aw man! He's asleep in the sink
What is with this cat? I'm confused He's got a bed, but it's never been used In every waking moment, kitty's out for the fight then [fart] next minute kitty's out like a light
How could I let this creature live inside of my home I gotta keep an eye on him when I'm on the phone I'm a little afraid to leave this cat all alone this kitty may destroy everything that I own
Look at him now, I kinda feel bad He's the best little cat that I've had and the one big thing I forgot to mention, was that He wasn't fighting, he just wanted attention
Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight little bitty kitty wanna bite bite bite Hey little sparta what is with all the fight showing love, that's all this kitty does
BEHIND THE SCENES If you have a cat, I'm sure you can relate, lol. I originally wrote the song because I didn't want to do a simple talking blog about my Sparta's little biting problem and I also wanted to show my friends back home in Turlock what my new place in Thousand Oaks looks like.. BTW, trying to get a cat to perform for a music video... nearly impossible! lol Thanks for watching

Welcome to Music Video Reform School. Jackie and Martina managed to survive Christmas, and they are back with some new videos to grade. First up is the latest from Selena Gomez, and then they go back to the 80's with a classic video from KISS.
Selena Gomez:
BIO: (from myspace.com )
Selena Gomez took her sweet time before recording her debut album. After all, she had her hands full starring in her hit Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverley Place," not to mention appearing in a string of movies and other TV shows. Still, music had been a core passion of hers going back to childhood. A child no more, Selena comes on strong with her Hollywood Records premiere CD, "Kiss & Tell." It is nothing less than the emancipation proclamation of a young artist with a lot to say.
She didn't get there alone. Producer Ted Bruner, along with songwriters Gina Schock , Tim James & Antonina Armato and Selena's band, The Scene, wrap her vocals with fire and ferocity. "Because it is my first record I wanted it to be amazing," Selena says. "I think of this record as a huge learning journey. I wanted to find my sound and see where I wanted to go musically."
On that journey, she clearly found her musical home base. And it rocks. Selena's blazing rock 'n' roll chops may surprise fans, especially on songs like "Kiss & Tell," with its battalion of drums, tight harmonies and Jane's Addiction-like lead guitar work. Says Selena with a laugh, "Basically this is my harsh song, but in a good way."
Selena decided to make the album "passionate, fun and empowering,' as she puts it. Thus, for the most part the 17-year-old singer bypasses the puppy love and goes straight to a righteous "guys are dogs" attitude. Songs like "Falling Down" and "I Don't Miss You At All" simmer with feminine scorn, while the pop gem "I Won't Apologize" (which Selena co-wrote) takes a stand for self-affirmation. "Girls my age tend to change themselves for others," Selena says. "Whether it's a boyfriend or trying to fit in with the 'cool kids,' this song says you're not going to apologize for who you are."
Selena tackles ballads on the wistful "The Way I Loved You" and "I Promise You," the latter a love song steeped in unadorned romance. She shakes off the sentimentality in the sophisticated put-down rocker "Stop and Erase," "I Got U," "Crush" and "As a Blond," perhaps the edgiest song yet from the legally brunette Selena. "Every girl goes through a break-up at some point," she says, "and they never feel good. I wanted to make sure that the songs about heartbreak were all empowering rather than sad. When I perform these songs I don't feel I am dwelling on pain."
She ends the album with a full-circle moment, re-recording "Tell Me Something I Don't Know," an upbeat hip-hop-flavored track she first cut several years ago and now revisits with a more seasoned point of view. "I thought it would be a fun to redo the song and add some cool techno beats," says the ever-adventurous Selena, who today stands at the brink of a thrilling new phase of her career.
Born July 22, 1992 in Dallas, Texas, Selena started acting at age seven when she landed a role in the popular television series "Barney & Friends," on which was a regular for two seasons. There she met her best friend, actress/singer and fellow Hollywood Records recording artist Demi Lovato. Their connection has endured. "I was very lucky to have had the opportunity to go through so much with Demi," says Selena. "We have known each other for so long now that we're more like sisters."
She landed her first feature film role in 2003, when she was cast in the sci-fi action adventure film "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over." Selena went on to lend her voice to "Horton Hears a Who!" in 2008, and made guest appearances on "Hannah Montana" and "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody."
But she made her greatest impact as an actress starring as girl wizard Alex Russo in the hit Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place," which premiered in 2007. For their work on the show, Selena and her cast mates won a 2009 Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program. "I don't think I'm too much like Alex," Selena says. "She gets into a lot of trouble, and my parents would never let that happen. Overall she's confident and doesn't let anyone negative get in her way, which is a good quality to have."
Her busy schedule in front of the camera did nothing to dampen her musical dreams. Selena recorded three songs for the "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" soundtrack, as well as tracks for "101 Dalmatians," "Another Cinderella Story" and "Tinker Bell." But she had broader ambitions. "I have always loved music and write all the time, but to make a career out of it seemed scary," she says. "I focused more on acting at one point, which blessed me with my show and other projects I had the honor of working on. Now I'm putting more into my music."
With a new album, a hit show and more movies on the horizon, it's a wonder Selena has time left for anything else. But she makes time to give something back. She has volunteered for St Jude's Hospital for children, Disney's Friends for Change and she was twice named youth ambassador for UNICEF, a role that recently took her on a fact-finding trip to Africa. It all served to expand her perspective on life. "I am constantly growing and changing," she says, "but I like to think my morals about family and friendships haven't changed."
She's not done dreaming. In the years ahead, Selena plans to push her career to greater heights, while always remembering her fans and the faith they place in her. Summing up her goals, Selena says: "I want to inspire others, help and make an impact." With "Kiss & Tell," she won't have long to wait.

KISS
BIO: (from allmusic.com )
Rooted in the campy theatrics of Alice Cooper and the sleazy hard rock of glam rockers the New York Dolls, Kiss became a favorite of American teenagers in the '70s. Most kids were infatuated with the look of Kiss, not their music. Decked out in outrageously flamboyant costumes and makeup, the band fashioned a captivating stage show featuring dry ice, smoke bombs, elaborate lighting, blood spitting, and fire breathing that captured the imaginations of thousands of kids. But Kiss' music shouldn't be dismissed -- it was a commercially potent mix of anthemic, fist-pounding hard rock driven by sleek hooks and ballads powered by loud guitars, cloying melodies, and sweeping strings. It was a sound that laid the groundwork for both arena rock and the pop-metal that dominated rock in the late '80s. Kiss was the brainchild of Gene Simmons (bass, vocals) and Paul Stanley (rhythm guitar, vocals), former members of the New York-based hard rock band Wicked Lester; the duo brought in drummer Peter Criss through his ad in Rolling Stone and guitarist Ace Frehley responded to an advertisement in The Village Voice. Even at their first Manhattan concert in 1973, the group's approach was quite theatrical; Flipside producer Bill Aucoin offered the band a management deal after the show. Two weeks later, the band was signed to Neil Bogart's fledgling record label, Casablanca. Kiss released their self-titled debut in February of 1974; it peaked at number 87 on the U.S. charts. By April of 1975, the group had released three albums and had toured America constantly, building up a sizable fan base. Culled from those numerous concerts, Alive! (released in the fall of 1975) made the band rock & roll superstars; it climbed into the Top Ten and its accompanying single, "Rock 'N' Roll All Nite," made it to number 12. Their follow-up, Destroyer, was released in March of 1976 and became the group's first platinum album; it also featured their first Top Ten single, Peter Criss' power ballad "Beth."
A 1977 Gallup poll named Kiss the most popular band in America. Kiss mania was in full swing and thousands of pieces of merchandise hit the marketplace. The group had two comic books released by Marvel, pinball machines, makeup and masks, board games, and a live-action TV movie, Kiss Meet the Phantom of the Park. The group was never seen in public without wearing their makeup and their popularity was growing by leaps and bounds; the membership of the Kiss Army, the band's fan club, was now in the six figures. Even such enormous popularity had its limits, and the band reached them in 1978, when all four members released solo albums on the same day in October. Simmons' record was the most successful, reaching number 22 on the charts, yet all of them made it into the Top 50. Dynasty, released in 1979, continued their streak of platinum albums, yet it was their last recorded with the original lineup -- Criss left in 1980. Kiss Unmasked, released in the summer of 1980, was recorded with session drummer Anton Fig; Criss' permanent replacement, Eric Carr, joined the band in time for their 1980 world tour. Kiss Unmasked was their first record since Destroyer to fail to go platinum, and 1981's Music from the Elder, their first album recorded with Carr, didn't even go gold -- it couldn't even climb past number 75 on the charts. Ace Frehley left the band after its release; he was replaced by Vinnie Vincent in 1982. Vincent's first album with the group, 1982's Creatures of the Night, fared better than Music from the Elder, yet it couldn't make it past number 45 on the charts. Sensing it was time for a change, Kiss dispensed with their makeup for 1983's Lick It Up. The publicity worked, as the album became their first platinum record in four years. Animalize, released the following year, was just as successful, and the group had recaptured their niche. Vincent left after Animalize and was replaced by Mark St. John; St. John was soon taken ill with Reiter's Syndrome and left the band. Bruce Kulick became Kiss' new lead guitarist in 1984. For the rest of the decade, Kiss turned out a series of best-selling albums, culminating in the early 1990 hit ballad "Forever," which was their biggest single since "Beth."
Kiss was scheduled to record a new album with their old producer, Bob Ezrin, in 1990 when Eric Carr became severely ill with cancer; he died in November of 1991 at the age of 41. Kiss replaced him with Eric Singer and recorded Revenge (1992), their first album since 1989; it was a Top Ten hit and went gold. Kiss followed it with the release of Alive III the following year; it performed respectably, but was not up to the standards of their two previous live records. In 1996, the original lineup of Kiss -- featuring Simmons, Stanley, Frehley, and Criss -- reunited to perform an international tour, complete with their notorious makeup and special effects. The tour was one of the most successful of 1996, and in 1998 the reunited group issued Psycho Circus. While the ensuing tour in support of Psycho Circus was a success, sales of Kiss' reunion album weren't as stellar as anticipated. Reminiscent of the band's late-'70s unfocused period, few tracks on Psycho Circus featured all four members playing together (most tracks were supplemented with session musicians), as the band seemed more interested in flooding the marketplace with merchandise yet again instead of making the music their top priority. With rumors running rampant that the Psycho Circus Tour would be their last, the quartet announced in the spring of 2000 that they would be launching a U.S. farewell tour in the summer, which became one of the year's top concert draws. But on the eve of a Japanese and Australian tour in early 2001, Peter Criss suddenly left the band once again, supposedly discontent with his salary. Taking his place was previous Kiss drummer Eric Singer, who in a controversial move among some longtime fans, donned Criss' cat-man makeup (since Simmons and Stanley own both Frehley and Criss' makeup designs, there was no threat of a lawsuit) as the farewell tour continued. With the band scheduled to call it a day supposedly by late 2001, a mammoth career-encompassing box set was set for later in the year, while the summer saw perhaps the most over-the-top piece of Kiss merchandise yet -- the "Kiss Kasket."
The group was relatively quiet through the rest of the year, but 2002 started with a bang as Gene Simmons turned in an entertaining and controversial interview on NPR where he criticized the organization and berated host Terry Gross with sexual comments and condescending answers. He was promoting his autobiography at the time, which also caused dissent in the Kiss camp because of the inflammatory remarks made towards Ace Frehley. Frehley was quite angry at the situation, leading to his no-showing of an American Bandstand anniversary show. His place was taken by a wig-wearing Tommy Thayer, but no one was fooled and the band looked especially awful while pretending to play their instruments during the pre-recorded track. The appearance was an embarrassment for the group and for their fans, but Simmons was quick to dismiss the performance as another in a long series of money-oriented decisions. The band kept touring the globe with no new album in stores, but in 2008 they returned to the studio, re-recorded their hits, and released Jigoku-Retsuden aka KISSology or Kiss Klassics. The release was exclusive to Japan until a year later when it became a bonus disc for the band's first studio album in 11 years, Sonic Boom. Produced by Paul Stanley and Greg Collins, the album was exclusively distributed in North America by the Wal-Mart chain of stores.

But it doesn't really matter man...cause there always watching. They always have been. Court order or not.
I mean....I use gmail...I like gmail....google has lots of cool stuff. So yeah I still use it. But, like I was saying. Whenever I read one of my emails on google I can't help but notice that the 'google advertising' column on the right side of the webpage is always advertising products based on the key words that are being mentioned within my personal email message....
If I get a message from one of my conspiracy friends...well then on the sidebar there will be 'google advertising' about anything of/or pertaining to...'conspiracy'.
Or if I mention anything spiritual....the advertising reflects it...if I mention that I'm horny....well then google advertising will be doing it's very best to make sure that I get some....
So yeah man....there always watching.
It's just good to always assume that you're being watched. Because U are.
.....anyways...Recently, Youtube and one of it's shareholders "fox" has let me know that they've found my video Ease to be in copyright violation. So....without so much has a rebuttal from me. They've removed it.
Now...that's cool. Cause I will do another video.
My songs are my songs. Regardless of the images in the videos.
But...the bigger picture is...Things are changing.
YouTube isn't 'all that' anymore. It's like 'coffee espresso' in Seattle...there used to be good coffee everywhere...that is until Starbucks came along....(Corporatism...that's America baby)
For being the 'grand daddy' of video social websites...they have the absolute worst sound quality...hands down.
"live video"..."myspace video"..."daily motion" "bliptv" just to name a few have really good stereo sound.
Not so u2b...
I really think that things are beginning to change around the internet. For the worse. I can feel it and I can sense it. The bigger corporations within the internet will merge sooner or later so they can monopolize.
I really hope not. There will always be a way to get information out to the people. But at what cost...?
I can foresee a time when we will be forced to circulate our movies/music...DVD's or CD;s on the street again.
Word of mouth.
And it will seem like we have gone backwards into a time machine....back to the last century.
Now of course this won't pertain to anyone who likes to stay within the confines of the 'status quo'...
But if you're somebody that is willing to stand up...alone if need be...4 what you believe, and for your rights. To stand up against an unjust war & the senseless murder of millions.
To stand up for freedom & equality...Then you do what you have to do....
And oh by the way.... I am so not alone....

"The sweet smell of dung"...an Irish Jig...
Well I don't care what u say...I really like this song. I think it was inspired, however indirectly...by my grandmother Mary McMorrow...!!! (god bless 'er soul...she was a devoted catholic)
If you were to hear the song when it 1st came about...you'd be amazed that it made the journey to what it is now...!!!
U see I was cleaning "jazzmin's" droppings out of her box when out of nowhere this Irish kind of melody started taking shape....I then started to improvise lyrics about the necessity of bodily functions...full of wondrous adjectives about malodorous scents and other such all pervasive perfumes....well then the jig started to take a noticeable conkling turn and then well...here we are...
Oh blimey...enjoy it...or don't.

sick and tired...
Got some stuff to cover this time around...
1st off...The response for the idea of putting together a "Toobstock West" or a festival of music, with the idea of raising awareness of Peace & Freedom...
Well the response was so strong (still going actually), that I'm thinking that we can really make this happen. Don't U. Nothing will happen unless U believe it...U can see it...!
well...I can see it.
Has I stated previously...there are some U2bers here who are "wide awake"...
I'm hopin' somebody out there will eventually come forward with a 'place' to do this, maybe a 'couple of acres' or 'piece of land'...Someplace where we can make this thing happen.
Even if it comes down to renting an auditorium or building or a house..whatever....considering weather and time of year...it doesn't matter...
It doesn't matter where it is...cause the "the spirit of Peace & Freedom will be there.
I wanna ask those of you who wanna 'keep the flame burning' on this to sign up on my '2012 Consciousness Awareness' mailing list...over at www.ralphbuckley.com.
I'm also gonna be starting up a 'forum' through my website & skype so that we can keep current on these & other ideas...so we can share ideas & info. To keep this thing alive...(thank u 2 pbeachmike for helping me)
I know in my heart that this 'group consciousness' effort is also gonna come into play...in a BIG WAY...
I can visualize a whole bunch of us coming together to enjoy good music and company....but also to bring a large group of people together to raise the level of consciousness...to shine our light as one...!!!
To reflect a light so that all souls can see it...(or feel it)
I know that I'm taking a big step here...but I've been talking about this for months now....& time is passing us by....
That's why I need to speak out now...
People the time is NOW.....We are made up of so much more then flesh...We are Spirit.....and we all know it!!!
We will let people know when the forum is up and running...though it should be up within a few days.
Check in over at http://www.ralphbuckley.com
or email me at ralphbuckley@ralphbuckley.com
If any of U wanna incorporate your blogs and websites with this....lets link up NOW...!!!!
It's time to team up & help each other... http://www.ralphbuckley.com

Consciousness Awakening....
I don't know why....but I feel compelled to continue with this...call it what u will....intuition...instinct...but this idea is constantly spinning in my head. It's very weird...but I remember thinking these same thoughts back when Art did his experiment way back when. I was so riveted during this time. I literally couldn't wait to listen to Mr. Bell's show every night...it was way better then cable....(hehe)!
I recall wondering why this hadn't been done or thought of before & why the 'powers that be' hadn't put there monies & resources into a venture that held such extraordinary potential...I was really quite naive then...we've never had any real money, nor have we been truly exposed to the corruption of it all, always been poor....& for this I feel fortunate. Never really bothered me much. In the years that Marcie & I were homeless...we didn't really analyze it then, but we were always taken care of...people, things...necessities came to us....as they were needed. I wish I would've been more in tune with the spirit back in those days, I would've been more relaxed...for I was constantly in a state of panic and anxiety.
anyways....this 'consciousness' project is a really delicate matter and we musn't allow things to become distorted....or lost in hype and money. I think that we need to become accustomed to this idea...the idea of thinking or being as one. Like everything else this takes getting used to...it takes practice. With large groups it becomes extremely evident of personalities that are louder then others...ego's are incredibly fragile & unpredictable & possibly dangerous. We have to account for this....before we begin. This is why I think we need to keep on trying...until we are comfortable with the idea & more importantly comfortable with each other in what we're trying to accomplish, again we have to get used to thinking of ourselves as one.
When I close my eyes....I think about a flock of birds that can change direction instantly....as one. Thousands of birds that can make a complete change of direction...as one. One mind. One heart. One Love....
I am positive that as long as everyone involved has their hearts in the right place that this could really grow....quickly. We could enter into this online as individuals or groups....small or large...depending on where the comfort zone is with an individual....so we can eventually be able to develop this intuitive ability to think and be as one.
To be honest, I don't want to be the one to lead this experiment. I believe for this to work we'll need to trade off on who will 'moderate' or host certain 'sessions'... Just to be sure & positive, I think it would be wise to prevent any one individual to be in control of things, for very long anyways.....if this happens it will most assuredly fail.
I'm doing this, because, in my mind, it is the most important endeavor of our time. We need to come together spiritually...without a care for race color or creed....or money. Staying as far as we possibly can from any organized religious beliefs...
We are one...and until we can start thinking about ourselves in this capacity....we'll never get past the differences that have held us back for the ages.
______________
What would be the focus? - perhaps prayer lists? - those who are sick? - without a doubt we should always try to envision a world of peace. But eventually we could attempt to become more specific...specific regions - focus for specific leaders -............ This is always about bringing light.....we can never feed the darkness.
The response to this idea in recent attempts has shown great promise...but as I stated in the video.... Most people won't think of such things as necessities...that is until their very lives are effected by the chaos that our future promises....
If anyone feels inspired....then it's important that you act on that impulse....

"Will Gabriel let me take my mandolin through the gates...?" I asked knowingly.
"No Ralph...they already got lute players up there" Micheal said with a smile.
Will they let me jam with the other angels?"
"Well, Monday nights are 'open wings night'...."
"Who are the judges"....?

"Cocoa Krispy's & Lucky Charms" (c)Ralph Buckley
Well upon the bi-polar pendulum....displaying the ups & downs or the highs & lows of erratic behaviour...I now bring you the latest edition of the 'ongoing saga' of "conkling"....
Yes, yes I must be honest here....I am officially diagnosed with 'bipolar disorder' and/or 'manic depressive'. I am either on the brink of breaking the secrets of alchemy or I am sadly on a journey where I have visions of Armageddon....crying eyes peering out from the depths of hell.....
..."Let's see here" says the doctor, perusing over my file. "Hmm, history of alcoholism, drug abuse...homelessness...liver deteriorating rapidly"...... "Yes, without a doubt conkling...you're delusional. A real wack job..."
So..here we are. Let me try to impart to you a couple of things, that I, at least think are pertinent.
1)The world is turning...
2)I am nuts
3)Life is short....
I've been really submerged into some serious shit lately...& the most important of which is 'meditation'....god that sounds so bloody puritan....let me put this in another way. I have rediscovered a way to "GET QUIET". A way to try to just enjoy BEING. Some call it 'breathing meditation'.
What's the most important thing I do everyday?...(besides eat & shit)
JUST BREATHE. (The words breathe and spirit(atma) are synonymous.)
This is a very difficult 'state of mind' to achieve. I remember hearing Howard Stern say "Man do you know how hard it is to just sit....and do nothing"...
It's because it feels next to impossible to turn off the endless, interminable chatter, that seems to go on & on inside your head...like an endless loop.
In essence...it's no easy task to turn off your thoughts!!!
I have tried and failed..time & time again at this. I mean I didn't just discover transcendental meditation yesterday. (Most of us did follow the Beatles through India)
But, lately I've discovered that I cannot achieve this blissful state of mind....until I truly let go.....OF EVERYTHING.
I've always been under the delusion of "I can do this....this is easy...piece of cake"...but I wasn't looking very deep into my psyche.
There are certain things that I have enormous difficulty 'letting go' ...not even for long enough to enjoy a few beautiful, blissful moments with the universe...the source.
At least, not until recently.
Ego is a strange thing...but, I'm learning that I will never grow beyond a certain point...until I put it aside.
___________
As of late, I've been talking with some folks who were interested in putting some capitol behind marketing my latest CD "9/11 Conspiracy Blues". It was a proposal that would market certain songs into college radio across the states.
The deal did not pan out...it fell through. But the thing is that I had put so much hope into this business venture that I think I was losing my focus of just who I was or just 'what' I was trying to achieve. It is since this venture that I've been able to step back. I've been able to breathe a little easier.
I hope you enjoy 'Cocoa Krispy's & Lucky Charms"....I needed some comedic relief from the intense world we live in....
If you can't smile.... not even for 2 seconds....well I guess you'll never be happy...
peace 2 ya's

well this was a little boogie woogie jam...saved in time, "thank god my music's still alive"!
Has most of my good friends here at u2b would have to agree, that we, all of us, gots a little bit of u2b addiction goin' on here.
Now c'mon...admit it!! OK, I'll go 1st.....MY name is Ralph and I'm a u2b addict....."HI RALPH"......."hi everyone"...I'm Ralph and I'm powerless over my addiction....
does anyone care to share at this u2b anonymous meeting???
well....I guess none of us are clean....we all our users....we all have usernames. (conkling...what the hell kinda name is that)...
(oh on a sidenote...we'll be serving hot coffee and comments after the meeting)...now u haters....behave!
....shit where was I...oh yeah...addiction and the blues....yes, yes...........but now I'd like to address a whole new level of youtube blues...
Ladies and gentlemen in club virtualism...I'm talkin' about the weird little anomalies that seem 2 b happening occurring ever so often as of late. Disappearing comments....being locked out of one's site. Just the sort of weird stuff that's happening to...I don't know....anyone who happens to mention the word....'FREEDOM'...or 'RON PAUL'....or rEVOLution....or maybe even that awful cuss word.....'CONSPIRACY'....shhh shhh bequiet....they'll hear me!!!! But being in a free country...with freedom of speech...these anamolies must be the product of a completely over-active imagination....yeah....flashbacks from my trippin days.....can u dig it........but yeah the youtube blues are getting worse....but my good friends...it's time to raise the vibration and enter into the higher consciousness. We are entering into the new age of the sun. We are spiritual beings on a human journey....not the other way around...the revolution is not about violence. It's about love. What is this dream? It is the dream of dreams. Bathe in this radiant light. It will never fail you. Our potential is endless. What's all this bullshit about 'junk DNA'...man we have the means 2 become one with the spirit. Did you think that all of your positive thoughts and prayers just disappear into thin air....? Can u imagine the power of Billions of people concentrating together as one. For a higher purpose....the collective consciousness....We are on the brink of a spiritual awakening.....(excuse me...I just farted...)

Diebold vote riggin' blues
[LESS INFO] 1 VIEWS | ADDED 05:28:10 01/20/08
It's not a conspiracy theory anymore, folks. Voting fraud is real. It's been real for some time now. It has been used to provide controversial results to many close elections, especially the main event fights in 2000 and 2004. It's so real that it has been the subject of an HBO movie. It's so real, you can find articles about it in the New York Times. The fraud, which comes in the form of electronic voting, is being battled once more because it's again time to select the next President of the United States. The most recent story comes straight out of New Hampshire, home of the first primary election.
This is absolutely huge news. We're on to the scam...but it's not over. Let us hope that the recounts are conducted with some trust worthy individuals. Far from bribes and threats. This could be the biggest accomplishment in decades. Imagine an honest election.......well let's hope so!
'Diebold-vote riggin blues' was written last night and recorded this morning. It's rough and far from perfect...like me!!!
The opening movie clip is from "Land of the Blind"...one of my favs. I remember this very scene the 1st time I watched the film. Some movies just stick with you I guess.
