Demi Moore's young crush
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 22:40:28 02/07/12
According to insiders Simon Cowell's chances of persuading Beyonce or Mariah Carey to join the judging panel on the next US X Factor are, slim to non-existent. After firing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, the mogul has let it be known that he wants heavyweight judges on the next season to bolster its mediocre ratings.
But claims that he has already offered Beyonce £300 million for a five-year deal have been described as, ludicrous. Insiders say The problem Cowell faces is that no big star wants to be seen joining a struggling ship.
The third Bridget Jones Diary movie is delayed and undergoing a dramatic rewrite – The film, which was to reunite Rene Zellweger, Colin Firth and Grant, was due to start shooting in the next few weeks but Hugh Grant has complained about the script and demands it gets a re-write! Insiders say they agree with High and that the script was dead in the water.
Friends of Demi Moore began to suspect all might not be well in her life when she reportedly became besotted with High School Musical star Zac Efron, 25 years her junior. apparently he is a friend of her daughter rumor but she has been seeking him out always wanting to hang around him! Demi, who is currently in rehab recuperating is said to be focusing on kebalah to help her heal.
And It's one nil to Gabriel Aubrey as Halle berry loses a legal battle to prevent him from seeing daughter nahla. Last week we reported that she was taking him to court after a nanny accused him of pushing her while the child was in her arms. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of it but for now the court says the current custody sharing arrangements still stand.

While New England Cries, Gronkowski Dances

Welcome to RideThePine.com
Living in New England, a bunch of my friends and family members were so distraught after the New England Patriots loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46 they were almost brought to tears. You know who wasn’t too upset. Rob Gronkowski . Ankle looks a 100% dude. Good thing you went all in on that hail mary...oh wait .
When I first wrote this episode, I didn’t want to come off as bitter that the New York Giants won the Super Bowl. I was even going to call Eli Manning elite. But the more I watch the highlights the more I can’t not be bitter. I can’t do it. Here is my only compliment for the Giants and Eli Manning. They don’t make mistakes, and when they do make mistakes they never pay for it. They never pay for it.
Lets look back through the timeline of New York Giants Super Bowl victories.
1990 NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers , they do the unthinkable and knock out Joe Montana . The Niners still dominated that game until an unbelievably rare Roger Craig fumble starts the Giants final drive which leads to a game winning field goal. The Super Bowl just a few days later, wide right by Scott Norwood. Giants are default Super Bowl Champions.
2007 NFC Championship game, Brett Favre makes one of the worst throws in football history throwing an interception in overtime that turns into a Giants field goal win. Super Bowl just a few days later, David Tyre’s helmet catch. Giants score touchdown, Default Super Bowl.
2012 NFC Championship game, two fumbled punt returns by 49ers Kyle Williams lead to Giants score and a trip to the Super Bowl. Now think back to all of the mistakes the Giants made in Super Bowl 46. Giants burn two timeouts early in the second half, because they can’t get their stuff together. Never comes back to hurt them. They fumble three times, but don’t lose possession on any. Wes Welker , who never drops a pass, dropped the game clincher.
Its like the whole Giants organization has a huge horseshoe up their ass. And to be clear, I’m not saying that the Patriots were the better team. Outside of a ten minute stretch when Tom Brady completed 16 straight passes, they played like poo.
The Giants were the better team but they never WIN Super Bowls, they just find ways to not lose Super Bowls and become champions by default.
And there is a difference.
The one thing you have to be impressed with is the class the Giants show in victory, right Brandon Jacobs .
Daddy, what’s decapitation?
Although Gisele Bundchen wasn’t much better after being taunted by Giants fans, yelling out that “my husband can’t fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.”
At least she was more upset than Gronk .

Fuck The Police (FTP 1) March & Rally in Austin, Texas 2-3-12
[LESS INFO] 1 VIEWS | ADDED 01:14:37 02/06/12
ANNOUNCING THE FIRST "FUCK THE POLICE" MARCH IN AUSTIN TEXAS FTP1 This event was called by various Anarchists and radicals in Austin Texas This event was explicitly Anti-Police and Anti-Capitalist. This event was created in response to the call for solidarity put out by the citizens of Oakland who have been participating in these marches for several weeks now. No longer can we ignore this call. We did not create a facebook event for this march because we recognize that facebook alienates the participants in these demonstrations by giving law enforcement and city officials a list of participants and organizers that end up becoming targets. FTP1 Austin was the first of many FTP marches that will be planned in the coming weeks. We gather in the spirit of open revolt against the racist police state that we live in, and understand that there is no excuse for Austin to sit back and remain passive while our comrades around the world face violent state repression. There is no excuse to continue to sit back and let the racist Austin Police Department along with every other facet of law enforcement private or public to brutalize and murder children in the most marginalized communities in our area. There are no borders in this struggle. To quote our friends in the bay area - "Please do not consume the images from the Bay as you would the images of overseas rioting or as a netflix subscription. Our hell is yours, and so too is our struggle." We hold our friends in Oakland in the highest regard; their actions have been an inspiration to all of us. Produced for Austin Indymedia by Jeff Zavala. This is a zgraphix production. http://zgraphix.org

Super Bowl 46 Preview
[LESS INFO] 6 VIEWS | ADDED 03:08:59 02/03/12
Welcome to RideThePine.com
The sports event of the year, Super Bowl 46 featuring the New York Giants and New England Patriots , is upon us and we have your full preview...starting now.
I’ve gone back and forth on who I think will win Super Bowl 46, but before we reveal our pick lets talk about a couple of things that I hope will happen.
I hope New York Giants Quarterback Eli Manning has the most horrific game in the history of quarterbacks in the Super Bowl. His success is something I can’t describe. Like he kind of plays good when the teams needs him, but its really the defense that wins the game, but Eli throws a TD so everyone thinks its him but its really not. (His success is just as confusing as that sentence)
I hope that not one of Gisele Bundchen’s friends or family waste a prayer on New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady . At the end of the day Tom Brady is Tom Brady; handsome, married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, has millions of dollars and plays a game for a living.
So he might not win the big game.
If you want to throw some prayers around, how about right here. This guy has only sold two of these amazing Beer, Wing, and Football shirts ...and I was one of the buyers.
Expect Madonna to do something just completely insane. Like poop on stage. She is sick and tired of everyone talking about Lady Gaga and this is her chance to show every that she is the craziest pop singer around. As if sleeping with Dennis Rodman wasn't proof enough.
Expect NBC to be completely obsessed with Rob Gronkowski and his injured ankle but it will be New England’s other tight end, Aaron Hernandez , who will have a bigger game.
I hope the cameras catch Peyton Manning wearing a Bobby Heenan -like neck brace in a luxury suit.
I hope there will be an E-Trade baby with spiky Jersey Shore hair or spay-tanned Snookie Orange . (Yes, that is a color)
Did I already do my Madonna pooping joke...
I hope NBC hires Marisol Gonzalez to be their sideline reporter .
I hope Tiquan Underwood scores a touchdown so he can do the Kid N’ Play dance.
I hope New York Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin 's face melts off like he just opened the Arc of the Covenant .
Ladies and Gentlemen, my pick for Super 46. New York Giants, 17. New England Patriots, 24. This episode is brought to you by 4inkjets.

Obama Praises Gabby Giffords In Arizona
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 04:24:16 01/27/12
Quote from President Obama: "Let me say how happy I was to see one particular Arizonan last night -- Gabby Giffords. (Applause.) I was able to give her a big hug and just tell her we could not be happy -- more happy to see her. I mean, she just looked gorgeous last night. And she's been an inspiration. Her husband, Mark, has been just a great friend and a great public servant and a hero to so many of us. And Michelle and I are going to be thinking of her as she continues her recovery here in Arizona. And she loves this state and she loves all of you. So it was wonderful to see her. " Representative Giffords recently resigned from congress to focus on her recovery from an assassination attempt last year.

Bioshock Infinite Gets Harder and Dance Central Mobile - Press Pause Daily

Bioshock Infinite getting harder and Dance Central goes mobile.
SHOW NOTES:
Story 1:
Games today can sometimes seem like not such a big deal. With multiple difficulty settings, checkpoints and the like, it seems games can be to easy. Sometimes you just want a challenge. For those people, Irrational Games has just the thing.
The developer announced that their forthcoming game, Bioshock Infinite, will feature what they are calling “1999 Mode.” This mode is a callback to a time when games were a lot harder, and gamers had to REALLY work to beat their games.
This optional new mode will force gamer to make hard choices, as now their choices will have permanent consequences. Gamers will also have to pick a specialization at the beginning of the game, and then stick with it through the whole game. Resource management will also be very important to your survival.
So, you’ll probably want to save A LOT. As Irrational Games Creative Director Ken Levine said: “there are game saves, and your gonna fucking need them.”

Story 2:
The Dance Central games have become pretty popular with Xbox 360 owners, and now it seems that you’ll be able to take the dancing fun on the go.
Called the Dance Cam, this new app lets you record video of themselves dancing to one of several songs. The video will then be dancified, creating a music video of you and your funky dance moves. The subsequent video can be uploaded to Facebook, and you can also challenge your friends to a dance contest, with your Facebook friends determining the winner.
So if you love Dance Central, and don’t mind sharing your super dope moves for the world to see, then why not download the app. It’s available now for Windows, Android, and iOS mobile devices.

The Love Language - "Heart To Tell": SXSW Showcasing Artist
The Love Language, initiated by Stuart McLamb, is a fortunate by-product of the North Carolina native's rudderless mid-20s, where a tempest of breakup, inebriation, and incarceration found the abandoned songwriter embarking on a storage-space recording project to slow his seeming disintegration. The growing body of emotional fight songs, committed to MP3 with a high-school era multitrack recorder, became postcards from exile, a way to let his friends and former flames know he was getting along, battered but not beaten. The self-immolating beauty of the budget correspondences was exhausting and triumphant; McLamb's dalliances with rejection and redemption would be minted in a self-titled debut on Portland independent label Bladen County in March of 2009. Soon afterwards, the mighty ensemble band version of The Love Language-a dysfunctional symphony of musical vagrants-disbanded to pursue personal projects. McLamb, who had roamed the state since recording The Love Language, moved back to Raleigh where Libraries engineer/producer BJ Burton adopted the one-man band and helped harness the extraordinary might generated during these sessions. Among the moments captured on Libraries are Spector-esque walls of reckless sound, cavernous drums, middle-school percussion, and moody swells of stringed instruments, all decorated hastily with stray leads, which bleed beautifully all over everything. Humans - "Avec Mes Mecs": SXSW 2012 Showcasing Artist
So it's not entirely true that opposites attract, but it is true that when two opposites get together, things become a lot less mundane. This is certainly what's happened between Robbie Slade and Peter Ricq, the musicians behind Vancouver indie-electro-pop dance duo, Humans. Their debut EP, Avec Mes Mecs, which translates into English as "with my friends," or "with my bros," is just one facet of Humans' sound, which the two say is never going to be the same twice. Just when you say "I think we found our sound, we find something else," says Ricq. This state of flux is essential to Humans' sound, as much as it changes it. Humans bring together the big beats of Ricq's past as a warehouse party promoter/performer and the melodic sensibility of Slade's days as a firefighter-turned-folk musician. The title track, written after what Slade calls "many days of absolutely brilliant partying" following New Year's Eve, is a celebration of being together. With the refrain, "who knew that all we had to do was party", serving as the clarion call for all those looking to come together in a mess of bodies and smiles. Humans capture the blind, full, captivating joy of letting everything go for a while, and giving into the fun. After these debauched days, which Slade says were "about as tame as you can be spending three days drinking without clothes," Ricq taught him how to use a 505 Arpeggiator and side by side, the two wrote out their experience to the beat. Episode 136: A Rare Opportunity
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 13:26:59 01/15/12
I Was Just In The Neighborhood. I stayed at BC a few hours longer than the rest of our group not to take in the scenery, but to catch up with my old friend Dawa. Jeff was the first to head down and Steve and John followed a bit later leaving just me, Karma and Passang from our workshop group. While technically I?m still a client here in BC, I?ve finally managed to get the staff to understand that I?m ?one of them? and don?t need to be catered to in the same way as one of the participants. They?ve been doing an outstanding job ensuring the success of the group but when it?s just me up here they can turn off and just hang out. In fact, I encourage that kind of behavior! With Karma and Passang kicking back and enjoying the fine weather, the rest of the camp staff relaxed as well and I couldn?t have been happier. I know I?ve always got the best staff in the world to help me out but the reason I come back year after year is because these guys become lifelong friends of mine. Camp cook Dawa is a perfect example of that. Dawa and I became close during the 2003 expedition I was on with Ben Clark. Now, my job on that expedition was to document as much of it as possible but I was not a climber. So, Ben would disappear for weeks at a time further up on the mountain leaving me in Dawa?s care. That was my first experience in the Himalayas and I was extremely uncomfortable with being waited on hand and foot by the staff every day. Dawa was the one who listened to my incessant complaints about wanting to wash my own dishes and explained to me why it was important to just be OK with it. The staff has an incredible amount of pride in what they do and always strive to do the best job they can. I need to let them do what they do and if I am uncomfortable, just let them know how much I value the work they are doing for my by telling them how much I appreciate it. I took his advice and we became friends. That friendship was a crucial component of that 2003 experience for me and I?m not sure if I would have enjoyed the expedition if I hadn?t had Dawa. Let me ad to that sentiment: The Rest of Everest may not have existed if it weren?t for Dawa making that first trip such an amazing experience. I owe a lot to him and his generosity, kindness, patience and hard work. I thought I would be able to tell him all of that in person in 2007 when I returned to Everest with my friend Scott Jacobs but, alas, it was not to be. Mountain Tribes was scheduled to have a team on the North Side and Dawa was going to be the cook but 2 weeks before the climbing season began the permit was switched to the South Side. When Scott and I walked into BC, Dawa was already encamped on the other side of the mountain. I was crushed because I had come so far from home and was so looking forward to spending some time with Dawa. This year everything worked out perfectly and I was finally able to tell Dawa ?thanks? and to reminisce about that 2003 expedition now 6 years in the past. My, how time flies! I was also able to finally show him my favorite portions of the film myself and that was great fun. Another case of art imitating life imitating art. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how that 2003 expedition was going to change my life. Thanks Dawa. Total Running Time: 34:04
