Learning to Drive Too Hard, Thinking Of Giving Up?

Are you one of those provisional licence holders who was very enthusiastic about learning to drive, and couldn't wait for your first driving lesson , but now after a few sessions you are finding out that it is not as easy as you thought or maybe you are even almost at test standard but are having major problems with a few things such as multi-lane roundabouts or a manuever, then I want to encourage you to keep on working at it and not give up on learning to drive .
The same applies to those of you that might have failed the driving test more than 3 or 4 times, as it could be very discouraging, but I personally know someone (not one of my learners) who only passed after 11 attempts! This person is now a good safe and confident driver, who has put those failures behind, been able to get a decent job due to having a full driving licence and earns more than they could have dreamed of, but more importantly have learnt that life is full of obstacles, and only by not giving up do you have a chance of getting what you want in life.
I know times are hard, and money is tight, which is why you need to make sure you have the right driving instructor while learning to drive, as you want the best training especially if you have weaknesses that you struggle with.
It is not your fault if you find a particular driving skill difficult, your instructor should be able to break the process down so you can understand, while choosing a suitable location to practise so you can grasp the principles. Once you unserstand how to deal with the situation you then will have to practise this first without any pressure (quiet roads) and then gradually build up to more busy areas. At the same time the instructor will go from full talk through where they tell you every single instruction step by step, then reducing instructions by prompting via questions to make sure you have memorised/understood the process through to the stage whereby they withdraw all instructions (you are fully independent) and rarely have to prompt you.
It is important that you remember that everyone learns at different paces, so just because a sibbling, friend the same age or other people you know passed after a specific number of driving lessons does not mean that the same has to apply to you. The other thing to remember is that even if you are very academic and have never failed an exam or test before , the DSA practical car driving test is not a written examination or one where you can skip questions or take long thinking about what needs to be done. There are situations where split second decisions need to be made, and nerves can play an important role in how you perform, so if you have not had enough practise or experience you could commit a serious driver error which could lead to failure!
So as I said at the beginning on this article, you need to keep working hard, make any changes that are necessary for you to succeed, get as much knowledge of the UK road and traffic signs , by keeping a copy of the official highway code with you and read in between lessons so you can make those split second decisions more confidently.
With hard work, and enough practise, there is no reason why you should give up on learning to drive or not achieve the dream of getting a full UK driving licence and buy that car you always wanted.

New Releases For May 15, 2012 - Press Pause Daily

This week brings quite a few high profile releases to help unburden your wallet of all of that pesky money.
SHOW NOTES:
GAME 1: Diablo III - PC, MAC
First up is the much anticipated action RPG Diablo 3, which brings players back to the land of Sanctuary.
20 years have passed since the end of the last Diablo 2 expansion, and the Demon Lords Azmodan and Belial make a return.
The game will feature five character classes including: the Barbarian, the Monk, the Wizard, the Witch Doctor, and the Demon Hunter.
You’ll be able to use the environments as a weapon by setting traps, or using destructible objects and environmental obstacles to your advantage.
The game’s multiplayer will utilize a new and improved version of Blizzard’s Battle.net that will make connecting and plyaing with your friends a lot easier.
You’ll also be able to utilize in game artisans that can you to craft new weapons and items, and the in game auction house will let you sell items for in game as well as real world money.
The single player game will let you use up to three AI followers, and skills and abilities will unlock as soon as you level up. You will also be able to use many more of your new skills simultaneously.
Gamers have been patiently waiting for this game for over 10 years. I’m sure there are a lot of people who won’t be heard from for a few weeks after they get their hands on this.
GAME 2: Max Payne 3 - PS3, Xbox 360, PC
Next up is the return of the popular third person shooter Max Payne.
Max Payne 3 sees an older and slightly more broken Max as he decides to take a job down in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco.
Of course, as things usually go in this type of story, everything turns to shit, and now Max finds himself alone in an unfamiliar city, and he’ll have to find out the truth in order to survive.
The game will feature cutting edge shooting mechanics for precision gunplay, advanced new Bullet Time and Shootdodge effects, full integration of Natural Motion's Euphoria Character Behavior system for lifelike movement.
This will also be the first Max Payne game to feature multiplayer. It will feature the same Bullet Time as the single player game. It will also have many weapons, characters, locations, and more to choose from.
A lot of people were skeptical about a new Max Payne game, especially one not developed by Remedy. However, things are looking pretty good for this release, and it might just be one to take a closer look at.
GAME 3: Game of Thrones - PS3, Xbox 360, PC
Our next game is based on the wildly popular book and television series Game of Thrones.
This 30 plus hour game will take gamers into the George R. R. Martin created world of Westeros as one of two original characters who were both once part of Robert’s Rebellion.
As you play you will forge alliances and wage battles as they play a pivotal role in the ongoing war for power of the Seven Kingdoms.
Feel time slow in the heat of battle: Combat mirrors the series' thoughtful approach to war and politics: fighting slows but never stops entirely, forcing the player to make quick, pressured choices before their enemy strikes again.
If you’re a fan of both the books or the TV series, and want to spend more time in the land of Westeros, then go ahead and grab this title today.
GAME 4: Battleship - PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS, DS
And lastly today we have a tie-in to the upcoming movie based on the classic boardgame Battleship.
Step into the role of Cole Mathis, the U.S. Navy's "boots on the ground," and experience thrilling gameplay as you combat a deadly alien invasion in this game inspired by the upcoming Universal Pictures film.
Command real-time control of naval units, strategize a map-wide plan of attack and direct your fleet to launch air strikes, conduct radar sweeps and engage in high-seas combat.
Battle against the invading threat on the shores of Hawaii as a member of the elite E.O.D. Arm yourself with an arsenal of deadly weapons and upgradeable naval units, all with special attacks and attributes.
The movie itself looks like good dumb fun in the vein of a Michael Bay film, and hopefully this game can be just as entertaining. It is a movie tie-in game though, so I don’t hold out much hope.

First up we have the next game from the creators of Warhawk.

And lastly this week we have Datura, a PSN exclusive that looks to experiment with the possibilities of the Playstation Move.

It's about understanding how people think about those questionable situations where consent is assumed. When we forget that no one wants to be forced, pressured, or not remember. Healthy sex isn't just using protection. And real communication can mean the difference between "What did I do?" and "What did he/she/they do to me?". What happens to one person affects all of us. GAME 3: Xenoblade Chronicles - Wii

*Wheels of Destruction - PSN
*Wheels of Destruction pits players in an arena of demolish-or-be-demolished competition.
*Five different vehicle classes to best suit players of different styles. From the brutal Heavy to the quick-firing Assassin, each class has their strengths and weaknesses to rule the battlefield.
*The game is fun for everybody with addictive controls that are easy to learn, but hard to master.
*Will come in at a price of $9.99, but if you are a Playstation Plus member, you can get it for only $7.99.
