Ultima creator Richard Gariott is interested in working on a new Ultima game, and we give you the skinny on the upcoming DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
SHOW NOTES: Story 1:
SO some info coming in via industry gamers has news of Richard Gariott (creator of the Ultima fracnhise) talking with EA about possibly working together. He had mentioned that he had talks at ‘very high levels’ with the company, but not much had come of it.
The last Ultima game delivered by Gariott was the un-spectacular Ultima 9: Ascension back in 1999. Although who cares, it’s Richard freaking Gariott. If he wants to come back and do a Ultima game LET HIM. He helped create the graphical MMO genre for pete's sake.
Plus, I miss portals, and that feeling you had when you played an Ultima game. Anyone who played Ultima 4 or played Ultima 7 and had the box with the stone in it and the cloth maps...knows what im talking about.
Free Richard Gariott!...to make more Ultima games.

Stor y 2:
Remember the the ticker bar at the bottom of the deus ex human revolution menu? Well hardcore gamers did...and they cracked the code pretty quick. What did it mean? Well, the code led you to a website where you saw this - a more beardy Adam Jensen...asking ‘what is the missing link’. I can tell you what it is. Spoiler cam? The missing link is a good combat system.
Stealthing your way through a million deaths is NOT...fun.
The DLC hinted at by the hidden website will b e called The Missing Link. and will have Jensen going missing for three days, during which time he's trapped on a freighter and stripped of his augmentations. Great...more difficulty is just what we needed.
Anyways...thats happening.

New Book Revisits Tragedies of CCP's "Great Leap Forward"
For more news visit ? english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ? http Follow us on Facebook ? facebook.com The Chinese Communist Party will mark its 90th founding anniversary this year. A new book, "Chairman Mao's Purgatory" was published in Hong Kong to meet the occasion. Its author says the book will restore a page in history that the Communist regime is trying hard to erase. "Chairman Mao's Purgatory" is photojournalist Du Bin's latest publication. Released last week in Hong Kong, the book travels back in time with a collection of photos and historic records of the Chinese regime's so called "Great Leap Forward" campaign. The campaign was the brain-child of the then Chinese Communist Party leader Mao Zedong. It was one of the worst periods of economic mismanagement. Mao's pursuit of rapid agricultural and industrial development led to the death of tens of millions of Chinese peasants from 1959 to 1962. The period is considered a great embarrassment for the Chinese regime, and is glossed over in history books. Du says he wants his new book to fill in the gaps of the past, as the CCP celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. [Du Bing, Author of Chairman Mao's Purgatory]: "This book coincides with the CCP's 90th founding anniversary. In Beijing now, books are being published about the Party's history. The CCP is trying to beautify its past, and glosses over the periods of the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward, trying to erase this shameful page from history ... The Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral top tourists' lists as the great icons of Paris. Built in 1889 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, the Eiffel Tower is a marvel of the Industrial Age and trumpets progress and man's ingenuity. Meanwhile, centered on the Isle de la Cite, Notre Dame sits atop what centuries ago was a Roman temple. Construction began in 1163 and lasted 200 years, resulting in one of the city's most notable sites.
