Time Out New York Food & Drink Awards 2012 On April 2, TONY presented the 2012 Food & Drink Awards at Skylight West, celebrating the year's top chefs, restaurants and bars. At the event, hosted by editor Jordana Rothman, invited guests sampled dishes from several of the nominated restaurants, including Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria, Bien Cuit, Dominique Ansel Bakery, Zucker Bakery and a roasted pig from Fatty 'Cue. Nick van Tiel kept the music going while sponsors Stella Artois and Frederick Wildman and Sons provided beer, wine and spirits for the crowd. Readers' Choice and Critics' Picks awards were on display, and with the sun setting against the Manhattan skyline, Best New Restaurant and Chef of the Year were announced live. Foursquare CEO and cofounder Dennis Crowley joined Jordana onstage to present the first-ever Foursquare award to the restaurant with the most check-ins. Notable attendees included Danny Meyer (Union Square Hospitality Group), Andrew Carmellini (The Dutch), Damon Wise (The Monkey Bar), Seamus Mullen (Tertulia), Johnny Iuzzini (Top Chef Just Desserts), Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster) and Michael White (Osteria Morini).
