Following is the note from Wayne Knapp about extracting drivers out of your recovery image:
"It sounds a little scary but it works well and you can always restore to the factory image if something goes wrong. This gives one the maybe the cleanest possible starting point. I recently was able to upgrade a Dell 2320 all in one touch screen computer to Windows 8 using the above approach. I was able to reinstall all the correct drivers in about 10 minutes after the Windows 8 install was complete.
1) Open up an administrator command prompt.
2) Create a directory to create a copy of the expanded restore image, say "c:\backupImage".
3) Expand the factory image with dism.exe. This is scary looking but docmented in MSDN. In my example:
" dism /mount-win /wimfile:d:\DELL\Image\Factory.wim /index:1 /mountDir:c:\backupImage "
This command will take a few minutes to run.
4) Copy the c:\backupImage\windows\system32\DriverStore directory to the recovery partition, say d:\DriverStore.
5) Now reinstall a clean version of Windows on the C:\ drive, leaving the restore partition alone!
6) Fix the drivers by using the device manager and browsing to the D:\driverstore for the drivers.
7) Enjoy your fast and very clean system!"

ROMNEY: HEY, I CAN BE THE BAD GUY
Chicagodope.com is reporting three unidentified women have joined the ranks of those who insist they’ve never been sexually harassed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
“People might think of me as a stick in the mud, but I can be quite a jokester sometimes,” Romney said in response. “It’s possible I might’ve said something that was misconstrued as sexual harassment in the past, we just haven’t found anyone to make that claim yet.”
Romney has been trying to tarnish his image ever since rival Herman Cain’s campaign was wracked by allegations of sexual harassment, allowing him to raise millions in campaign donations.

DUGGAR’S VAGINA: JUST STOP IT!
Michelle Duggar’s vagina says it is suing Michelle Duggar for “child abuse.” The TLC reality TV star recently announced she was pregnant with her 20th kid, but that appears to be one too many for her lady parts.
“I’m a reproductive organ, not a Xerox machine” said Duggar’s vagina through its lawyer. “Why not install a slide and a zipper?”
And finally…
SCIENTISTS: SNOW MAKES YOU DUMB
In medical news, scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have discovered a brain disorder that causes drivers to forget the most basic rules of driving the minute snow starts to fall.
Crystalair.com reports researchers believe Seasonal Driving Disorder, known as SDD, is a neurological syndrome in which the presence of snow causes synapses in the brain to cease firing, forcing people to lose the ability to recall even simple driving procedures like how to maintain a consistent speed, or what the brakes do.
"For years most assumed these drivers were just stupid, or perhaps intoxicated," said a scientist. "But now we know that these people have a serious brain disorder."

Modern Warfare 3 Releases to Bloodthirsty Crowds
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 18:09:51 11/08/11
(Image source: CNET) BY SAMANTHA SUNNE ANCHOR LAUREN GORES You're watching multisource global video news analysis from Newsy. Thousands have been in line for hours to take a shot at the latest installment of the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 3. Its release Tuesday is expected by some to be the most popular video game release ever. The BBC reports on its release in the UK. REPORTER: You’re hoping it’s going to be worth a three-day wait? FAN: I know it’s going to be worth a three-day wait. It’s going to be the game of the year. The $60 game is the latest in the bestselling video game series of all time. Last year, Call of Duty: Black Ops reached sales of $1 billion within its first six weeks. Gamespy says, “Let's face it: Modern Warfare 3 will be the biggest selling game of 2011. No doubt about it. Despite the loud doomsday predictions from Battlefield 3 fanboys … Activision's shareholders will go laughing all the way to the bank.” The game’s fans say the gameplay is streamlined and cinematic. Its critics say it’s not much different from Modern Warfare 2, released in 2009. TRAILER: shooting, explosions, music, character dialogue. Some rabid fans just couldn’t wait. On Saturday two individuals wearing masks reportedly crashed into a truck carrying 6,000 copies of the game in Paris. According to PCWorld, they subdued the truck driver with tear gas and absconded with their booty, valued at more than half a million dollars.

Steven Samblis interviews Tom Lennon From "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas".
John Cho and Kal Penn reprise their title roles in "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas," which picks up six years after their last adventure.
Following years of growing apart, Harold Lee (Cho) and Kumar Patel (Penn) have replaced each other with new friends and are preparing for their respective Yuletide celebrations. But when a mysterious package mistakenly arrives at Kumar's door on Christmas Eve, his attempt to redirect it to Harold's house ends with the "high grade" contents—and Harold's father-in-law's prize Christmas tree—going up in smoke. With his in-laws out of the house for the day, Harold decides to cover his tracks, rather than come clean. Reluctantly embarking on another ill-advised journey with Kumar through New York City, their search for the perfect replacement tree takes them through party heaven—and almost blows Christmas Eve sky high.
The 2004 cult hit "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" launched the franchise, followed by "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay." The third installment is the first to highlight the guys' hilarious mishaps in 3D.
It would not be a "Harold & Kumar" film without Neil Patrick Harris, who returns along with Paula Garces (TV's "Defying Gravity") as Maria; Danneel Harris ("The Roommate") as Vanessa; Eddie Kaye Thomas (the "American Pie" movies) as Rosenberg; David Krumholtz ("Mr. Popper's Penguins") as Goldstein; and Bobby Lee ("Pineapple Express") as Kenneth Park.
Joining the ensemble are Tom Lennon ("I Love You Man") as Harold's new best friend, Todd; Amir Blumenfeld (TV's "Pranked") as Kumar's new best friend Adrian; Danny Trejo ("Machete") as Harold's father-in-law; and Elias Koteas ("Shutter Island") as Ukranian mob boss Sergei Katsov. Rounding out the cast are Patton Oswalt ("The Informant!"), Richard Riehle ("Halloween II"), Jordan Hinson (TV's "Eureka"), John Hoogenakker ("Contagion"), Jake Johnson ("No Strings Attached"), Yasen Payankov ("Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon") and David Burtka (TV's "How I Met Your Mother").
Todd Strauss-Schulson helmed the film, marking his major feature film directorial debut. Academy Award® winner Greg Shapiro ("The Hurt Locker") returns as producer, and Mandate President Nathan Kahane, Nicole Brown, Richard Brener, Michael Disco, and Samuel J. Brown are executive producers. The screenplay is by Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg who wrote the previous two movies. They also serve as co-producers, along with Kelli Konop and Jonathan McCoy.
The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Michael Barrett, production designer Rusty Smith, editor Eric Kissack, costume designer Mary Claire Hannan and composer William Ross.
New Line Cinema presents, in association with Mandate Pictures, a Kingsgate Films Production, "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas." It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
