"In a lot of ways, this is the antithesis of the modern ski porn flick. A lot of rock star skiers and not much skiing! Ha! Well, hopefully having a narrative helps the piece along. It was a tough piece to put together with all the different characters. I decided to focus the story on Sage and Lucas and was hoping the piece would give people a sense of who those two characters are besides being rock star skiers/snowboarders. I often feel like the whole process of skiing and who the skiers actually are gets lost in most of the films today." ~jimmy chin

Free-ride skier Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and big mountain snowboarder Lucas Debari step out of their elements and make an attempt to climb, ski and snowboard Denali. Sage and Lucas get a helping hand from a huge cast of seasoned and professional climbers and ski mountaineers from the North Face Athlete Team, including Hilaree O’Neill, Conrad Anker, Ingrid Backstrom, Jim Zellers, Emilio Previtali and Giulia Monego, as the two embark on the hardest expedition of their lives.

Inspired by last year's batch of tilt shift edits, we thought we'd take a stab at our own and included it as One For The Road DVD/Blu-ray extra. Shot in Pemberton, British Columbia and Juneau, Alaska, our edit provides a unique perspective of our athlete's big mountain skiing.
One for the Road is an HD ski film that follows some of the world's most progressive snow sports athletes as it documents their lives on the road and captures some of the most stunning riding to date. Road trips are an integral part of every adventurer's life and a conduit to define one's being. Journeys to new lands shed light on each skier's personal mission. Whether shredding with long time ski partners, or meeting a seasoned character in some far off country, wisdom is gained through these new experiences. The road trip is a metaphor for every skier's existence.

Another indie game makes it to the big time … well the 3DS, and a Farmville movie?
SHOW NOTES:
Story 1:
Rumor has it that 2 of the writers behind Toy Story are talking with Zynga to produce a movie based on one of their franchises. And I use the word “franchise” loosely. Let’s face it they’ve basically just ripped off other franchises and added a monetization layer on top of em..then said look how creative we are!
Farmville...The Movie. Come on
http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/223714/farmville-may-head-to-silver-screen-thanks-to-toy-story-writers/
Story 2:
SO independent developer Terry Cavanagh who made the indie game VVVVVV
will be making his debut on the 3DS! We had had this game on our radar for awhile ever since it was released back 2010 and now...our little boys all grown up!
The game features the main character Captain Viridian who can change gravity, which of course helps him solve all sorts of puzzles and platforming challenges.
Whats better it will be offered up as 3DS ware. Y’know that section on your 3DS that basically has nothing in it. But what a way to start…a rad indie game. Thanks Nintendo. Seriously. thanks

The new edition of drive It! spans some 80 years of automotive history. We’ll take in: the golden age of Bentley in the interwar years; the success story of the Golf GTI from its roots in the 1970s; a comparison test of current models with traditional engines; and tomorrow’s technology today in an electric car from Chevrolet.present it! The Chevrolet VoltThe Chevrolet Volt debuts in Europe, just in time for the carmaker's 100th anniversary. In 1911, the Swiss-born Louis Chevrolet founded his car company in the United States, alongside William Durant. Chevy now sells vehicles in more than 130 countries worldwide. The Volt has been named "Green Car of the Year" in the United States. The electric car allows drivers to travel up to 80 kilometers on a single charge. A 1.4 liter gas engine serves as back-up, allowing the Volt to travel another 500 kilometers. compare it! Renault Fluence vs. Skoda OctaviaTwo mid-size sedans that pack a lot of car for a low price. Two cars aiming at providing plenty of space for longer journeys. Both test models run on gasoline; the Renault comes with a 2-liter unit with 103 kW, while the Skoda is powered by a 1.8-liter engine with 118 kW. Drive It! explains why one of the two offers the better overall package. examine it! 35 years of the Golf GTIThe car's success story began in 1976 thanks to an unconventional decision by automaker Volkswagen. At the time, it was unthinkable to create a family ride with sports car features. But that's exactly what Volkswagen did, and spawned a legend. The car soon won a loyal fan following. It provides a real alternative to drivers who like pace but aren't willing to shell out big bucks for a Mercedes or a Porsche. The car has undergone a few changes over the last 35 years. But it's retained its cult status. Carmaker logosThey enjoy a high recognition value, but who knows the stories behind them? Some car logos have been with us for over 100 years. But why does the Mercedes star have three points, and why does the Audi logo have four rings? And what does the black horse in the Porsche emblem stand for? Drive It! listens to opinion on the street, and provides the correct answers.Vintage: Bentley 3.5 liter 1934Like every car brand, Bentley has its own story to tell: in this case one of success, landmark models and big changes. Until 1930, the name Bentley was synonymous with sensational success in motor racing. But a year later, the brand was broke and was swallowed up by rival Rolls Royce. The first common product was the Bentley 3.5 liter. It went into production in the fall of 1933 as a sporty spinoff of the Rolls Royce 20/25. Sleek and simple interiors, a low center of gravity and an elastic inline six-cylinder engine make this car a dream to drive.
