Soaking up the atmosphere and live street entertainment, it was easy to loose yourself in the rich and historic culture of Portugal. Touring the classical city of Lisbon the day ends with a stop at the Belem Tower (Torre de Belem). Lisbon's Belem Tower was built from 1515 to 1520 and once served as a watchtower for Lisbon when it stood in the middle of the Tagus River. Portugal vacations are pleasant surprises offering the opportunity for relaxation along some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe and some of its richest history.
