In his daily take, Thom explains how ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Counsel is leading America into a corporatocracy, which means that elected officials represent corporations instead of people. ALEC joins with CEOs and lawmakers a few times a year to draw up legislation approved by the corporations. Florida Republican State Representative, Rachel Bergen, proposed legislation to reduce corporate taxes. Bergen forgot to take out ALEC's mission statement located at the top of the legislation, showing that she took the model legislation proposed from ALEC and just passed it along to the state house.

Lost And Nameless Orchestra - "The Red Haired Boy": SXSW 2012 Showcasing Artist
"Foot stomping, heart racing, exciting music..." As this fan attests, there's something about dueling fiddles, vigorous guitar playing, and an air-tight rhythm section that compels your body to move. Tastefully pairing a wide dynamic range and an intimate connection with the listeners, the Austin-based fiddle-driven folk rock quartet, Lost & Nameless Orchestra gets you out of your chair and onto the dance floor. Founding members Chris E. Peterson (fiddle / lap steel / mandolin / bass) and Patrick Conway (acoustic & electric guitars / vocals) met in St. Louis in 1993 and formed an instant bond playing fiddle tunes and Patrick's original songs. Their musical travels took them throughout the USA and Europe until the band settled in Austin, TX in 2006. The band has since grown to include 15-year old musical prodigy Kimberly Zielnicki (fiddle / bass / vocals / ukulele) and Nathan Quiring (keyboards / accordion). All four members are highly skilled and well trained musicians with a sincere love for making music together. The band's unique chemistry on stage creates an intimate atmosphere in the room and draws listeners into the music. As the intensity builds, it is not uncommon to catch band members dancing on chairs and fueling the fire of excitement in the room. After a standing residency at Flipnotics, a calendar full of shows all over Texas and Arkansas, and their first tour under their belt, Lost & Nameless Orchestra is currently in the studio recording their debut full ... Tuidang Participates in Flushing's Lunar New Year Parade
For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me In Flushing, New York on Saturday, volunteers of the Quit the Chinese Communist Party movement participated in the Lunar New Year Parade for the first time. Volunteers of the Global Quit CCP Service Center say this year they expect the world will see big changes taking place in China. Our New York correspondent brings us this report. Tuidang is a movement that could change the face of China. In mainland China, Tuidang or "Quit the Chinese Communist Party," is an underground movement, operated through word of mouth, phone calls and Internet posts that have not been censored. Here in New York, where the efforts are coordinated openly, the news is reaching millions of Chinese people. Global Quit the CCP Service Center President Rong Yi draws parallels between what is happening in China today and with what Eastern Europe experienced in the late 1980s. [Rong Yi, Global Quit the CCP Service Center President]: "I think in China right now, it's a very important year, this year of the dragon. Many Chinese are awakening, you can see the petitions, the fighting with the police, fighting with public security people, and it's almost everywhere, happening everyday in China." Tuidang supporters marched down Main Street in Flushing, Queens for the first time on Saturday, as part of the Chinese Lunar New Year parade. Inside China, this sort of activity would probably result in a ... From: NTDTV Views: 44 4 ratings Time: 03:24 More in News & Politics
