FINALLY! we’re gonna get that experience of choose your own adventure books..in digital format.
Now if you don't know what I'm talking about...choose your own adventure books were great - they let you choose different paths and the outcome of the book and story changed depending on how you chose. You younger viewers, think Mass Effect or Deus Ex.
The Lone Wolf series of books had you playing a warrior monk, and actually had an inventory system and combat...all in one (non digital) book. The game had you using dice, pencil and paper. Now the kindle will handle all that.
The first book in the series, known as "Flight from the Dark," and developed by Wordweaver, Ltd. is already out. So you youngins out there, go do yourself a favor and download it. Use that thing you have, which is probably drunk on fast food and tv, called your imagination Use it, and enter the world of lone wolf. You'll thank me.

STORY 1:
To continue our ongoing mini-tribute to Mr jobs, we bring you some recently released iPad games that will give you bragging rights to those console gamers and PC addicts.
For those of you who like RPGs there’s Chaos Rings. For only 8 bucks you'll get a pretty deep story, multiple ending and some pretty awesome graphics.
For those more casual gamers there is the recently released Early Bird. Using simple swipe controls and addictive gameplay .. this one has angry birds written all over it.
And lastly for iPad owners who are jealous of artsy style games like Limbo, you now have Contre Jour. Am I saying that right?
Well however you say it looks awesome. Haunting graphics, cool touch interface, and interesting puzzles will get your friends saying .. whoooaahh i need me an iPad.
GAME #1:
OK on to console releases! First up is Madden NFL ‘12. This being the ONLY NFL game out there, literally, fans of video game football wait patiently each year to see how the new game stacks up in regards to new features.
Gamers will see a new system this year that uses the player’s momentum, as well as over 100 new tackle animations to make the hits that more realistic. Also, EA has added one of the most requested features: the ability to build their own playbook by alerting existing plays, or creating them from scratch. There are also new visual enhancements that includes player equipment that will realistically degrade over time, and will affect uniforms based on weather and field conditions.
Oh and the grass is supposed to look more realistic. So that’s pretty cool?
So if you are a football fan, and can’t wait to head out on the field, then this year’s version of Madden will have more for you to dig into..... Although if you ask us 2K would just kill it if given the chance. Plus doesn’t competition breed creativity? Just sayin.
GAME #2:
Next up is Bodycount. If you think that first person shooter games are too subtle, and need to be MORE over the top, then this game is for you.
There IS a story here, but really its secondary to the orgy of violence you will dish out. Buildings will explode, bodies will fly through the air, and blood will flow.
Wow. That sounds horrible, but KINDA fun. Is that wrong?
GAME #3:
And lastly, in keeping with out first story about Apple gaming, we have the first adventure pack for the recent Sims Medieval game: Pirates and Nobles. ALSO playable on your way cool Mac.
Two factions have arrived in your kingdom, and you’ll need to choose a side between the Pirates of Aarbyville or the Nobels of Tredony. Geesh hows a girl to decide?
Their conflict will create the Kingdom of Ambition, and you’ll be able to choose from many different player types. You can be a king or a blacksmith and they added in treasure hunting and even birds that can be named and trained.
Wait trainging birds? What is this the bird trainer expansion? and who wants to train a bird anyhow. i mean what can they really do for you? here bird go fetch me some money. see … they cant do that.

In a Finance Committee hearing on June 28, 2011, Senator Hatch addressed the complex tax code and the tax gap. "Albert Einstein once said, the hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax. If there is one thing that we can agree on as Republicans and Democrats, it is that Albert Einstein was a pretty smart guy. But with the Internal Revenue Code, he apparently met his match. And things are only getting worse. Year after year, the tax code becomes more complex. This has contributed to two separate, but related, problems. First, the complexity of the code undercuts compliance. Complying with the tax code should not be a Choose Your Own Adventure story, where the complexity of the code leaves citizens guessing their tax liability. As Chief Justice John Marshall explained, the power to tax is the power to destroy. The power to tax is massive and intrusive. And given our constitutional commitment to personal liberty and the right to property, citizens should be well aware of what their tax liability is. The second issue, one related to the Code's complexity, is the tax gap. The tax gap is basically the difference between the amount of money that taxpayers legally owe, and the amount that the government actually collects. The tax gap is the great white whale of deficit reduction. If only the government was able to collect what it is owed, our deficits would be reduced significantly. 12) Diamond Creek to Lake Mead

When traveling the lower canyon, from Diamond Creek to Lake Mead, there are a few things to consider. This short section of the video will go over a few additional details for this part of the Colorado River through Grand Canyon National Park. The first thing you may notice about this lower section is that campsites are pretty limited. Many of the sites are heavily overgrown, eroded, or have very high banks. Camp sharing may be more frequent down here. Remember that no camping is allowed within the Columbine Falls Cove area. You may run into shallow water and sandbars from river mile 248 at Surprise Canyon all the way to the takeout, so keeping an eye out for those can save you a lot of hassle. Sandbars aren't the only collision risk down here. You may encounter speed boats traveling upstream from Lake Mead. To reduce any potential for collision, try to keep your boats close together. For those of you who choose to night float through the Lower Granite Gorge, if your trip doesn’t have a motor, you must have someone ready to signal oncoming boats with a flashlight. If your trip has a motor, you must have United States Coast Guard approved navigational lights displayed. When conditions allow, you may take out at Pearce Ferry. The area can often be muddy and hot, especially in the summer. Its best to take out and de-rig early in the morning. Consolidate your gear because there may be several other trips de-rigging at the same time. Pearce Ferry has the following facilities: pit toilets, a small campground, and emergency telephone. (CG) When conditions don't allow for takeouts at Pearce Ferry, your next option is to go to South Cove. Its another 17 miles of travel on the water. When you get onto Lake Mead, it becomes readily apparent that travel across the lake is easier with a small outboard motor. The lake has a 10-15 mph wind which makes rowing or paddling more difficult. During storms, try to seek shelter in coves. The takeout area at South Cove is designated by signs and is now adjacent to the concrete launch ramp. The area is compacted rock and gravel and has a limited amount of space. Again, its best to try to take out and de-rig as early in the morning as possible. Trips must consolidate their gear during the take-out and de-rigging process. South Cove has the following facilities: paved road and parking area, pit toilets, and emergency telephone. No Camping is allowed within the harbor or parking areas of South Cove. The SCAT machine is often available on Pearce Ferry road about 10 miles away from Pearce Ferry or South Cove. This machine will clean river toilet systems that use 20 - 30 mm rocket boxes. There's a regular dump station there for other toilet system cleaning. The SCAT machine is closed from November through March. Other than the SCAT machine, and toilet dump station which are reserved for SCAT, There are no dumping facilities for river trip garbage. These are just a few reminders for the lower section of the canyon. It is a bit more rugged, but has its own character, and far less visitation than the upper section. As is the case anywhere in Grand Canyon its best not to make assumptions but expect surprises. Enjoy your trip.

3) Low Impact Camping

After you beach the boats at the end of the day, camps along the river offer a chance to relax with friends and get a better understanding of the canyon. As roughly 29,.000 people camp in the inner canyon each year the impact on the camping beaches can be severe. There's nothing better then arriving on a pristine beach after a day on the river and nothing worse then finding that inconsiderate groups before you have left the beach covered in trash, which has attracted unwanted animals and insects, and the smell of human waste. A few simple protocols will help preserve the beaches for the next person. GC Ranger, Pam Cox "Where you camp on any beach helps determine how long that beach will remain undamaged. Choose a site within the post dam era flood zone, where you find willows and Tamarisk. This area recovers faster then the area above where you will find Mesquite and other native plants. If the groups before you have done their job you’ll find a pristine beach with no evidence of previous camping." This beach is pristine because everyone's required to remove all organic waste including garbage, human waste and even ashes. This waste is to be carried out and disposed of outside of the Grand Canyon. There is no provision for trash pick up at either Phantom Ranch, Diamond Creek, or Lake Mead. Just remember to remove everything you bring with you. Since not everyone cares as much as you about the canyon you’ll occasionally find trash on the beach. If you have an extra garbage bag and room please carry it out. Large pieces of trash are of course an obvious eyesore but even small pieces of micro trash can create a major impact if allowed to accumulate on the edges. Candy wrappers, napkins, paper towels and cigarette butts, all impact the look of a beach. It can also create a serious nuisance. Normally red ants live in the bushes and eat vegetation but over time have been habituated to human food and have moved down onto the beaches. While the ants are a problem for you when cooking and eating, they also deliver a vicious bite that will hurt for days. You will find the cleaner the beach the fewer ants are attracted. A tarp located under your kitchen, and dishwashing station will catch any food that might fall off the table. Simply removing the tarp when you break camp, putting large food chunks in the garbage then shaking what is left into the river. Less food equals fewer pests. The glow and warmth of a campfire blazing then dying away as your group wanders off to sleep is a fond memory of most camping experiences. Campfires are allowed in the canyon but only in a fire pan. By raising the fire pan off the beach with legs or cans you’ll avoid scarring the beach, leaving it in good shape for the next group. In the summer season, the collecting of any wood is prohibited. You may bring your own if you wish. In the winter season driftwood may be burned but only driftwood. Dead and down wood in the bushes is off limits, this wood is left to rot naturally to provide nutrients for the soils.
