US regulation 395.13 (b) (3) states:

Portland, Oregon: 6:45pm, arrive at work
The papers said, 8000 Hewlett Packard Printers, 709 Red Swingline Staplers and 200,000 paperclips. Destination: Seattle. A brief call to my attorney, Harvey Wireman , he advised me to head north, deliver the goods.
7:32 I realized that I might be heading in the wrong direction? This customer has two locations in Seattle. I need to pull over and check the paper work again, don't want to deliver this crap to point A when point B is expecting it. And i needed to update my log book.
7:36 I pulled into the Ridgefield rest area on I5.
All of a sudden there were cops everywhere! Four officers, three Department Of Transportation trucks.
A check point.
They were hiding!
I couldn't see them from the freeway.
Bad waves of paranoia.
Madness.
Sit up straight. Name Rank and Truck number
I said a quick prayer. YOU BETTER TAKE CARE OF ME LORD, CAUSE IF YOU DON'T, YOU'LL HAVE ME ON YOUR HANDS.
Hello officer.
What’s you name, he asked.
My name? Aaron the Truck Driver, on the list, free lunch, total coverage.
Let me see your log book.
I smiled and nodded. Then he asked for my telephone number. I hesitated. You, need. my..
Is this part of the new homeland security, i thought to myself?

I gave him my telephone number and he handed me a ticket for $179 dollars and off I went.
At least he didn't ask me for a kiss...
"As your Attorney i advice you to drive North, and DON’T STOP AT ANY MORE REST AREAS, YOU FOOL” and then he hung up the phone. And what about the $179 ticket? Hello, hello, Harvey? Bastard!
He has yet to fail me.
If this ticket sticks I'm gong to fire that old fart.
Why did they have a road block at the rest area? The scales, The Port of Entry, was four miles up the road from that rest area. They could just pull every driver into the scales. Well, ya, but If you needed to update your logs, or take a break to let your hours catch up to you before crossing the scales, you might stop at that rest area. Rest-Area-Check-Point. An excellent strategy on the cops part. They got two other trucks while I was sitting there, admiring the shape of the officers skull. As I looked down on him, as he jotted down my number. Why did he need my number? I still don’t get that part. Someone reading this, any ideas? Ill ask my attorney next time I talk to him. There is about a 12% chance that ticket will stick. I was running legally, so he didn't shut me down. Typically they look at your logs, hand them back, and then growl, “update this”. As they go off and do the rest of the inspection.
Come back in a month or so and I’ll let you know the verdict.
