Leslie's Own Story
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 02:28:53 02/07/12
A Bavarian doctor and dear friend first introduced me to Cura Romana some twenty years ago. One day, while visiting his clinic, I mentioned to him that since adolescence I had struggled with my weight. He smiled. 'How much do you know about Cura Romana?' he asked. 'Cura what?' 'Cura Romana -- the Roman Cure.' 'Nothing,' I replied. 'What is it?' Instead of telling me, he handed me a book written and privately published more than half a century ago by a British doctor -- A.T.W. Simeons. 'Read this,' he said. I read the book in less than two hours. I was fascinated. It was obvious that the physician who wrote it was highly intelligent and a deep thinker. He had a profound understanding of how the body works in all its complexities, including the all-encompassing interconnections between body and psyche. 'He claims to have discovered the cause and cure for obesity,' I said to my doctor friend. 'I find that hard to believe.' 'Why not try it? Find out for yourself,' he replied, smiling. He knew me well. He knew that I never take anything on faith, no matter how many so-called 'experts' tell me I should. I need to experience something first hand. I have to know it from within. I'd experienced no hunger. I had energy to spare. I was sleeping as deeply and peacefully as a child, yet I seemed to need only six hours a night. I would wake each morning full of excitement about the day ahead. I couldn't remember ever having felt so good. My skin glowed. And when I looked in the mirror I witnessed the true shape of my face emerging. I was overjoyed. By the end of three weeks, my weightloss was somewhere between 15 and 18 pounds -- I no longer remember exactly. Even more surprising, the fat had come off from all the right places, like my legs and waist. This was fat I had never been able to get rid of no matter how much I'd tried. I could see that the natural size and shape of my body was coming to birth. I was overjoyed.

The New York Times reported recently on the harsh work conditions at Apple suppliers in China. Now some consumers are saying they would rather pay more for the products. A recent New York Times report on the cruel working conditions inside Foxconn Technology, and other Apple suppliers in China, is getting a lot of attention. The report says employees assembling Apple products often "Labor in harsh conditions...work excessive overtime, in some cases seven days a week, and live in crowded dorms...Some say they stand so long that their legs swell until they can hardly walk." Moreover, workers also face serious safety threats, sometimes deadly. Two explosions caused by aluminum dust last year at two Foxconn plants killed four people and injured 77. Two years ago, 137 workers were injured after they were ordered to switch from rubbing alcohol to a toxic chemical, n-hexane, to clean iPhone screens. Song from Tibet : Apha / Father (HH Dalai Lama) by Dekyi Tsering (English Sub)
Translated by Khechok Click here for more videos : www.youtube.com Lyrics below : - - - - Apha (Father) - - - - In the center of a family, illuminate the ever-burning lamp To great loving father, who carries the hopes of his children I offer you the lamp of my heart As I offer incense in the morning, I consecrate the best wishes In the praising of "Kyi Kyi So So", and in the rising of the white smoke I send hundreds and thousands of prayers How have you been, long separated, far away, and much-missed father? How are you brothers and sisters, who have left your homes? The fatherland with the dying grassland, and the black tent that merely withstands the storm Its children never hear the sound of happiness, They wash their faces with the tears of sadness Never have they experienced the happiness of being reunited, Only do they hear the sound of sad sighs Never have they experienced the happiness of being reunited, Day after day, night after night, year after year Khyen Khyen Lama Khyen... Oh, my dear Lama, my great loving father, Please don't be sad Though the warmth is absent in our homes We can feel the warmth from your words of wisdom We are the successors of your pursuit We will materialize your dreams We will work hard at learning Tibetan Our language will never be forgotten Our traditions will be passed on Our food will be enjoyed, moreover Our fatherland will be loved from the bottom of our hearts Dear father, You are the one that I will ever forget You are the one ... Blueprint for an America Built to Last: President Obama's State of the Union Preview

We're just a few days out from my third State of the Union address. And I'm actually not done writing it yet, so there might be a few late nights between now and then. But I wanted to share with you some of what I'm planning to talk about on Tuesday night. In a lot of ways, my address on Tuesday will be a bookend to what I said in Kansas last month about the central mission we have as a country, and my central focus as President. And that's rebuilding an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded -- and an America where everybody gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everybody plays by the same set of rules. I talked in Osawatomie about - this is a make-or-break moment for the middle class and folks trying to work their way into the middle class. Because we can go in two directions. One is towards less opportunity and less fairness. Or we can fight for where I think we need to go: building an economy that works for everyone, not just a wealthy few. On Tuesday night, I'm going to talk about how we'll get there. I'm going to lay out a blueprint for an economy that's built to last. American Manufacturing -- with more good jobs and more products stamped with Made in America. American Energy ... Flooding forces Dutch to evacuate
www.euronews.net A mass evacuation is taking place in the north of the Netherlands where heavy rains risk flooding a number of villages. Dutch soldiers and police began the operation early this morning. Hundreds of people have been moved from their homes in and around the province of Groningen after days of downpours. Moving residents is the first priority but emergency teams are also working hard to move thousands of cattle left on farms. Leaking inland dykes have allowed high water to enter parts of the town despite the presence of thousands of sandbags. From: Euronews Views: 61 2 ratings Time: 01:16 More in News & Politics

2012-01-05 2nd journal, Mayan day 4 Water or Offering Dimitri Halley – How You Attract Your Shadow 14:56 Complementary Text http://www.scribd.com/doc/77425923 Intro: Are you tired of life or down on life in any way? Any way at all? If so, I can guarantee you're not in heart. You're stuck in the mind's way of viewing things. Come on – admit it. If life has gone stale or become just too hard for you, do consider what's being said, here – and find your way into your heart, or into the heart of the now moment – same thing. Each and every one of us – minus the robots and clones, of course – is a cell in the body of the divine – of Source or God. We ARE That. Just as Christ said, “I Am the vine, and ye are the branches.” What part of the branch can't be said to be the vine? Are they not one and the same? Can we not see this? Surely, we can. It's just our programming that got in the way. Well, there's real beauty in that, even. How so? Because it is so amazingly easy to get out of that. There's no need to study the enemy, to out-wit him or gain strength and work out strategy for the battle. No need at all. Why not? It's so beautifully simple, I could practically shout it – there's no need to fight! All we need do is walk away. Literally, just turn your back on mind and walk out, and you win. It's your mind, after all – right? Well, take command of it. YOU tell it when to enter, what challenge to tackle, what to do. Don't put up with being bossed around by that tyrant that the mind has been programmed to become. Admit it- for all of us, the mind is a terrible task master. Many minds are also abusive, continually hamster-wheeling around through all of your faults and short-comings, just so you'll know, singing the litany of that. Yikes! No wonder we get depressed and want out...
