David Jefferies Unseen
[LESS INFO] 25 VIEWS | ADDED 15:07:27 07/27/07
“Those who risk nothing, do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothing” Those simple words sum up the attitude of one of the greatest, and best-loved, motorcycle road racers of all time – David Jefferies. Duke is delighted to be able to pay tribute to the inimitable DJ with the release of previously unseen footage of the great man. David Jefferies Unseen is a 26 minute-long programme featuring David in a range of machinery that is only available as a download. A donation will be made to the David Jefferies Memorial Fund for every download purchased. Yorkshireman DJ built an army of fans with his determined, skilful and unique riding, which saw him claim nine wins around the legendary Isle of Man TT Course. Anyone lucky enough to see him in action will never forget his distinctive style as he mastered the 37.73 mile Mountain Circuit. He took triple victories at the TT in 1999, 2000 and 2002, and set a staggering, record-breaking 127.29mph lap speed. DJ was also a star at the Ulster Grand Prix, Macau, Scarborough, North West 200 and other leading events. He also enjoyed short circuit success, winning the British Superstock, British Powerbike Production and Triumph Speed Triple championships. Off the bike, his obvious passion for riding and his down-to-earth personality brought him even closer to the fans. Despite his incredible speed, there was no ‘star’ ego with DJ, just an ordinary bloke who loved bikes. David was destined for even greater things, but it was never to be. He lost his life in a crash during practice for the 2003 TT. Many films featuring DJ’s awesome talents have been released, but now you can watch 26 minutes of previously unseen material. David Jefferies Unseen includes exclusive on-board footage as DJ swaps two wheels for four and takes a Mitsubishi Pajero around the Jurby Airfield circuit during a Duke Track Day and over the famous Mountain Road on Mad Sunday. You also go on-board as he rides a Suzuki GSXR1000 at Jurby and takes the wheel of a stock car at Onchan Raceway. The film concludes with hilarious outtakes from the making of the hugely popular TT Circuit Guide programme. The footage is high quality and each download is DRM-free, meaning it can be watched on virtually any device – mobile, iPod, PC, laptop, television… This unique film is yours for just £3.49, with £1 donated to the David Jefferies Memorial Fund for every download sold.
