Police clash with people protesting against killing of Belai
Demonstrators and riot police clashed on the streets of Tunis on Thursday, as several dozen people tried to approach the Tunisian Interior Ministry to protest against the assassination of leftist politician, Chokri Belaid. Despite a heavy police presence on Avenue Bourguiba in the city centre on Thursday, a few groups of demonstrators managed to approach the Ministry and throw stones before being dispersed by tear gas.
