Obama called for the DREAM Act on the State of the Union address and tried to pass it in the lame-duck session. He opposed SB1070 and backed the Morton Memo, urging ICE to spare DREAMers and hard-working families and focus instead on real, dangerous criminals. His administration is modifying the 3 to 10 laws to keep immigrant families from being separated. Romney on the other hand has promised to veto the DREAM Act. He and Rubio knock the real DREAM Act for offering a path to citizenship that DREAMers who came into the country by no fault of their own, and who only want to give back, more than deserve. We must stand with Durbin, Reid and all the democrats pushing for immigration reform in congress and make sure to have a president that will sign the bill once it's approved by congress. So our choice is clear: OBAMA 2012. I originally wrote this song to protest Arizona's unjust SB 1070. I also sing it in protest of Alabama's HB 56 and any anti-immigrant legislation.
