Popular West Coast Polo Announcer Steve Muni , Esq. discusses the history of the game, its resurgence from political incorrectness and San Francisco's annual 'Polo in the Park '. Muni started playing polo as a child, continuing through the Manila Polo Club in the Philippines, prep school in Hawaii, and Yale University . He has played for polo clubs in San Diego, London, and Pebble Beach. He retired from active play in 1990 and continues to umpire and announce polo matches. A graduate of the California Western School of Law in San Diego, Steve Muni worked for seven and a half years in the Amador County District Attorney's office . He is now a Deputy Attorney General in the Bureau of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse in the California Attorney General's office in Sacramento. San Francisco’s premier charity polo event, "Polo in the Park ", has been held annually since 1984. All proceeds benefit the James S. Brady Therapeutic Riding Program .
