Following the sudden death of his mum, young Hallam (Bell) takes to the trees to spy on all around him, including his beautiful step-mother whom he suspects may be responsible. Fleeing his family’s stately pile for the rooftops of Edinburgh, his voyeuristic obsessions take a dangerous (and comic) turn as he falls in love with a girl who happens to look just like his mother. Excellent performances, a cracking soundtrack and titles by Glasgow-based artist David Shrigley combine to create a gem of Scottish cinema.
