Remember the old prince of persia game from your youth? Yup, that crappy boring side scrolling adventure that spawned a much better version from Ubisoft. This is that old crappy version, with the added bonus of terrible, awful, horrendous controls.
Tally Pad iPad Review

Just what the title says. This little program counts your taps. Nothing else really.
The iPad is still only weeks old and already there are thousands of games available for it. One of the first games released is Godfinger, a cute little sim type game by ngmoco:) The game is following the same type of model as farmville and mafia wars, where you get the game for free and everything is available to you at a slow pace. If you want to move the game along quicker you can purchase in game gold and points. So if you are impatient you can pay to cheat basically. It?s like the game genie back in the day I guess, only you don?t have to blow into it or enter weird codes that can cause all kinds of awesome glitches. I still have no idea how that magical device worked, after this I should head over to Wikipedia and do some serious internet research. Back on track. This is a cute little game by the makers of black and white. The PC game that almost no one played. No one that I know of anyway. Visually the game is pretty amazing and it runs well. I?ve had it crash a few times but nothing totally crazy, and right now every ipad game crashes. The level cap is set at 50 and I don?t know of anyone yet that has hit it. I?ve put in 3 hours and I just hit level 13. 3 hours may not seem like a lot if you put any time into real games, but for these small casual mobile games 3 hours is an eternity. I don?t know what else this game can possibly offer to hold my attention. It feels like I already have most of the buildings, the new ones are just more powerful versions of existing ones, and all they do is generate more gold that I don?t need. Games like this don?t hold my attention long because they don?t have a questing or rewards system. The reward in this game is just always more gold to buy more buildings that generate more gold. There is no story, there is no questing system, no system for fighting or taking things over, I can?t manipulate my friends worlds although I can see them. It?s odd because I have to be online to play, which allows me to see my friends planets, but I can?t do anything except enchant one of their little guys, which will give me a little gold. Which I don?t need. There is no crafting system or loot system or really anything that would get me more involved other than the ability to generate more gold. I guess the new buildings could be viewed as ?loot? but it is very shallow. To be fair the game has only been out a few weeks, and it is free, but it won?t hold my interest very much longer. It will be interesting to see where this game is in a few more months, although by then I will have probably forgotten all about it. On a side note, I do like the Arial Rounded MT font they used for the logo and text that was popular back in 2005.
