Admittedly the first time I saw Darran Nolan skate, it was from the NASS '06 competition, and I was less than impressed, actually I was less than unimpressed. Watching him carelessly attempt the same technical flip trick for 2 minutes left a bad impression, and made me think he was some "Nate Sherwood" freestyler. That is to say a skateboarder who skates flatground for sure, but only does flip tricks that street skaters would do. Well, I came across this video recently and was very impressed by his skills, though not a pure freestyle skater in the strict sense, but then again it is funny to use the word "strict" to describe a form of ANYTHING called "freestyle". So, this is a slight departure from the more traditional videos I have been posting, although he does do some classic flatground moves in addition to his incredible array of late flips, and his super-technical, albeit light street style skateboarding. Also his little introduction narrative is pretty funny, and true. Checkout the cameo by Callum in this, pogoing down 7 stairs. So here we see 2 of England's 6 flatland riders. Enjoy.
