China News Broadcast, August 7, 2012: Beijing Newspaper Shut Down In today's China News, two government-appointed lawyers will be defending Gu Kailai in the murder case against her, a lawyer familiar with her case said on Saturday. Gu Kailai is the wife of disgraced Chinese politician Bo Xilai and has been charged with the alleged murder of British businessman Neil Heywood. The Economic Observer newspaper in Mainland China was closed by Beijing officials Monday because of its reporting on the death toll of the floods that recently devastated the Chinese capital. All copies of the newspaper were taken away from sellers. Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency released details about an organ trafficking sting that happened in late July--137 were arrested, 18 of them are doctors. August 8th is Father's Day in Taiwan.
