Sen. Brown Holds Government Accountable On Taxes
US Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) released a message for Massachusetts about legislation he introduced to hold the government accountable on tax issues. The Taxpayer Receipt Act (S. 437), introduced by Senators Brown and Bill Nelson (D-FL) on March 2, 2011, would require the government to send a detailed receipt to taxpayers each year outlining how their tax dollars are distributed across federal departments and programs. The Congressional and Federal Employee Tax and Accountability Act (S. 2195), introduced by Senator Brown on March 15, 2012, would recoup unpaid back taxes from Federal employees, including Members of Congress. A recent IRS report showed that in 2010, 98000 federal employees owed a combined $1 billion in back taxes. From: USSenatorScottBrown Views: 43 1 ratings Time: 03:05 More in News & Politics
