An HTML5 Media Center, Senses
[LESS INFO] 0 VIEWS | ADDED 00:03:03 05/07/12
Adolfo Foronda of Nerd Stalker interviews Pablo Neirotti, the creator of Senses, an HTML5 Media Center.
For more information on what Pablo is up to see below:
ArtPulse artpulse.me
Pablo's current projects:
* Senses sensesproject.com
* Buglets an HTML 5 game - currently being rewritten, what you see online now is an engine prototype.
* Pixelsize pixelsize.net
Artise is the current platform for Senses and Buglets. Pixelsize (Pablo and two other collaborators) will be a new Object-Oriented platform and product that is somewhat related to Senses. The new platform will replace Artise on all current projects, anyone who is enthusiastic about Object-Oriented development will, "drop their jaws when they see it" as Pablo said.

AirBnB and More talk about Failure for Success
[LESS INFO] 17 VIEWS | ADDED 21:22:30 08/28/11
Interview with the founder of FailCon Cass Phillipps (@webwallflower).
From the FailCon site, "It's time to stop being afraid of failure and start embracing it. FailCon is a one-day conference for technology entrepreneurs, investors, developers and designers to study their own and others' failures and prepare for success. We all have founded, worked for or invested in startups that have failed. We're smart, we keep up with the latest in technology trends, but sometimes just don't go as planned. How can you predict what will work and what won't? Well, you can't. But that doesn't mean you should stop trying. It just means you should start exchanging stories of what didn't work and how you pivoted, why you couldn't raise money, what the wrong hires were like, and when you decided it was time to let go. Entrepreneurs need to hear that from each other: that it's okay to fail, it doesn't mean you're worthless. You're just like the rest of us, learning from our making mistakes and building something bigger next time."

Extremely clever scientists have been working on sugru for over 5 years to give it as many great physical properties as possible, so it can be as versatile and useful as possible for you.
Why are so many products just so bad? Uncomfortable tin openers, leaky trainers, they get our goat! Why should you have to spend $30 on a designer tin opener? You shouldn't! Hack the one you have instead. Power to the (handy) people!
sugru can help you dramatically prolong the life of your stuff. By applying in some cases even a teeny tiny bit to your things, you get to keep them for much longer and decrease your impact on our wee world. Repair with gusto!
