He has starred in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, RocknRolla, War Horse and now holds together the Greek IMAX 3D epic, Wraith of the Titans. I had a chance to sit down with him and talk about the new movie and his approach to acting. About Wraith of the Titans... Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson star once again as gods at war in “Wrath of the Titans,” under the direction of Jonathan Liebesman. A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington)—the demigod son of Zeus (Neeson)—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Agenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind. Jonathan Liebesman (“Battle: Los Angeles”) directed the film from a screenplay by Dan Mazeau & David Leslie Johnson, story Greg Berlanti & David Leslie Johnson & Dan Mazeau, based on characters created by Beverley Cross. The film was produced by Basil Iwanyk (“The Town”), who also produced the previous “Clash of the Titans,” and Polly Johnsen (“Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”). The executive producers were Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Callum McDougall, Kevin De La Noy and Louis Leterrier. Sam Worthington (“Avatar”) leads the international cast, which also includes Rosamund Pike (“Barney’s Version”), Bill Nighy (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”), Edgar Ramírez (“The Bourne Ultimatum,” TV miniseries “Carlos”), Toby Kebbell (“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”) and Danny Huston (“Robin Hood”), with Academy Award® nominees Ralph Fiennes (“The English Patient,” the “Harry Potter” films) and Liam Neeson (“Schindler’s List,” “Unknown”).  The behind-the-scenes team bringing this mythical epic to life included director of photography Ben Davis (“The Rite,” “Kick Ass”); production designer Charles Wood (“The Italian Job,” “The A-Team”); Academy Award®-winning editor Martin Walsh (“Chicago,” “V for Vendetta”); and costume designer Jany Temime (the “Harry Potter” films). The music is by Oscar®-nominated composer Javier Navarrete (“Pan’s Labyrinth”). “Wrath of the Titans” also reunited several talents from the previous film, including Oscar®-nominated visual effects supervisor Nick Davis (“The Dark Knight,”); Oscar®-nominated prosthetics supervisor Conor O’Sullivan (“The Dark Knight,” “Saving Private Ryan”); and Academy Award®-winning special effects and animatronics supervisor Neil Corbould (“Gladiator”). Also on board were Oscar®-nominated makeup designer Paul Engelen (“Frankenstein,” “Robin Hood”) and hair designer Kevin Alexander (“Robin Hood,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”). A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Thunder Road Film production, “Wrath of the Titans” is being distributed in 3D and 2D and in select IMAX theatres worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The film is scheduled for release nationwide on March 30, 2012

The event kicked off with a private screening of “Happy Feet Two” and culminated on day two with one on one interviews with Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Common and Hank Azaria. “The movie is easily one the best animated feature films I have seen”, said Steven Samblis, host of IC Places’ 1st Look... “The combination of incredible music, hilarious lines and perfect comedic timing mixed with the magnificent landscape of Antarctica in superb 3D that would make Michael Bay envious, has created a cinematic masterpiece. The access given to us by the studios with the actors that drove this movie resulted in fascinating conversations ranging from the experience of working with this incredible ensemble cast to some very introspective and personal topics. As well as a five minuet feature about the making of the movie. About Happy Feet Two Mumble, The Master of Tap, has a problem because his tiny son, Erik, is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven—a penguin who can fly! Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model. But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Erik learns of his father’s guts and grit as Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures—from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals—to put things right. The film features the voices of Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hank Azaria, Alecia Moore (P!nk), Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Sofia Vergara, Common, Hugo Weaving, Richard Carter, Magda Szubanski, Anthony LaPaglia and Benjamin “Lil P-Nut” Flores, Jr. George Miller co-wrote the screenplay with Gary Eck, Warren Coleman and Paul Livingston. Miller is also producing the film, along with Doug Mitchell and Bill Miller. Chris deFaria, Philip Hearnshaw, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers. The cinematographer is David Peers and the animation director is Rob Coleman. The film features vocals by P!nk, with music by John Powell. The film is presented in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D, and also in 2D. It has been rated PG for “rude humor and mild peril.”
