1. The Montreal post-punk trio combines the aggression and melody of Fugazi mashed with '90s alt-rock. 2. Singer Elizabeth Powell started her musical journey at the age of 14 and tried a solo career before joining Land of Talk. 3. For all the (well-deserved) buzz the band has generated, they have yet to release a full length album. 4. Powell is active in the Montreal music scene and once roomed with members of Arcade Fire. 5. The band earned themselves a gig at Central Park Summer Stage in New York with Grizzly Bear and the Decemberists.
