This test was performed using the Panasonic HDC SD9 video camera. It is a small camera, easy on the hands, that stores video to a SD card. No tape. Unfortunately, the camera is not Mac friendly without performing a few contortions. iMovie for iLife 08 does not work well with this camera. It will only download video recorded at HA1920/24p. Any other setting sends iMovie to Fluxville. I ended up downloading Voltaic (paying the $30 for it) and converting the video from the camera this way first, then I imported the .mov file into iMovie for editing and conversion. It's quite a stretch and the conversion process is long but, the end result was worth it.
