Koloina, a member of Foko blogging at http://gasykool.wordpress.com/, took the initiative to discover Malagasy ingeniosities and share them to the world. He met Toky in Ivandry where this 11 year-old boy is using his skills and his little tools to build toys for his friends in the neighborhood. His parents who are selling traditional medicines on the market said he is fond of cartoons, enjoys riding his bicyles and is very serious about his "job". Most of the time he makes cars but also used the versatility of the materials he uses (recycled cans, nails, wood) to make other models with the same pieces and wishes to expand creations. When interviewing Toky, Koloina noted that he was very serious and rigorous (and doesn't like being teased!) but also developed entrepreneurial skilled which require a lot of support so he can start his own business in the future. original post in Malagasy with pictures http://gasykool.wordpress.com/2008/11/30/tokys-creation/
