"Prima facia" Case In Discriminatory Firings Of IFPTE 21 Senior Employees At SF Planning Department and Commission At a hearing at the San Francisco Civil Service Commission on June 20, 2011 on the termination of SF City Planner Cecelia Jaroslawski it became clear that the terminations were part of a systemic effort to remove senior employees. Senior City Planner and IFPTE Local 21 member Cecelia Jaroslawski and other planners were terminated after a so called "Porno email scandal". While senior staffers were fired not one younger employee was terminated. Jaroslawski also was a IFPTE Local 21 union activist and had been defending the contract when she was discriminated against leading to a reign of terror at the agency. One commissioner Donald A. Casper said he believed that there was a case for discrimination against senior employees. The leadership and officers of IFPTE 21 had been contacted but have refused to file any grievances for discrimination and harassment against the employees. They were also MIA at the hearing. By Paul Carpita 1955 (1 hr 15 min.) In 1953, France was occupying Indo-China, and the body bags were coming home on the docks of Marseilles. This film shot in Marseilles with actual dockers as actors and real footage of strikes shows the efforts of the bosses to win over a docker who will oppose and spy on a dockers’ strike against the war in Vietnam. The film was banned in France and is one of the only dramatic films about workers’ action against war. It depicts the growing politicalization of workers who see the war as an attack on all labor. The film, which was produced by the Cinepax film collective and was restored after having been lost.

The California Commission on Teacher Credentials staff attorney Kathy Carroll was terminated after she reported systemic corruption, nepotism, cronyism and terrorism against state workers in the agency. In this video, she reported this to a California Joint Legislative hearing on 510/201. After her testimony, she received no assurance at the hearing that she would be protected and her healthcare would be taken care of which is critical for a heart transplant patient. This California Joint Legislative Committee members in fact did not have one question for her despite her critical testimony about the systemic corrupt activities of the Commission and the massive cover-up. Also California State Senate leader Darrell Steinberg boycotted this hearing on how the California State government is working. Her testimony also exposed the use of the CTC management to push privatization of the public education system. Using public funds, tens of millions of dollars were given by the management of this commission to their personal conspirators to set up privatized education operations in California. Carroll has now lost her job and has no healthcare insurance as a result of being a whistleblower and going public. Contact California Attorney General Kamala Harris to demand an criminal investigation and prosecution of the corrupt management of this agency. Phone 916-322-3360/800-952-5225 Also contact Senate Senate Leader Darrell Steinberg by contacting his District Director Susan McKee's office at 916-651-1592 and call on Steinberg to use his campaign funds to make sure that her life is protected and her heatlhcare is paid for while she fights to clean up this corrupt privatizing state agency. http://www.sacbee.com/2011/04/24/3574523/teachers.html United Public Workers For Action www.upwa.info
