Hollywood has come to Manistee, and film crews have been on site in our community producing a movie titled "What If." "What If" is a co-production between 10 West Studios, based right here in Manistee, and Jenkins Entertainment and Pureflix Entertainment, both of Los Angeles. The film stars Kevin Sorbo, known for his role in "Hercules," Kristy Swanson, who starred in the original "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," Debby Ryan, who's well known for her role in the Disney Channel series, "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," and John Ratzenberger, of "Cheers" fame. Those involved in the film production said that the Manistee community has been a great place to work. Filming of "What If" began on June 28 and is scheduled to wrap up on July 15. The film is scheduled for a global DVD release on Valentine's Day 2010.
