The South American country has made a quick recovery from an 8.8 magnitude quake in 2010. Chile's foreign minister says he believes Japan will do the same. An outdoor vigil was held in Chile for the Japan quake on Wednesday. Japan's ambassador to Chile, Wataru Hayashi, welcomed Chilean Foreign Minister Alfredo Moreno to the event. Ambassador Hayashi says international support in crucial in helping Japan rebound from the disaster. [Wataru Hayashi, Japanese Ambassador to Chile]: "I was deeply touched by the words shared today and solidarity and encouragement from everyone in the past. Although our country has been facing a national crisis since March 11, we will make an effort to rebuild a new, safer and more livable country in the spirit of something good coming out of something bad. To do that, we need solidarity and support from our allies." Chile has made a remarkable recovery from an 8.8 quake in 2010 which hammered towns, roads and industries and killed more than 500 people.
