Three people, including two women and a man, sustained minor injuries after a liquefied petroleum gas cylinder exploded in Surat City of India's Gujarat state on Friday. The blast rocked the city's market area during the wee hours of the morning, but no fatalities have been reported. After preliminary investigations, fire officials suspect that a leakage in the gas cylinder might have triggered the blast. [JJ Patel, Fire Official]: "It appears that there was a leak from a cylinder because it became too cold. So we sealed it and brought it out. Our initial investigation indicates the gas may have leaked from this cylinder and filled the entire ground floor, and then exploded after igniting somewhere." The blast has completely damaged the building where the cylinders were stored, and also caused destruction to surrounding buildings.
