Last October, I took a weekend trip up to San Francisco to visit Jay and Ryanne. They live in such a beautiful place--I enjoyed a nice, warm, peaceful walk--and they have wonderful friends. We attended a SF Edit session together; I worked on a soccer video, and they talked about show in a box. The context of their discussion wasn't important to me; it's the comeradery, passion, and togetherness that I enjoyed.

My kids got baptised this past Sunday. Rainlin told me she had been trying to figure out how to tell me she wanted to be, and when she finally did I was so thrilled. Then we went to Dylan's class and told him, and he said, "yeah, I'm ready. I want to get baptised too." What an awesome moment. I went into the media center and told all my friends I volunteer with, and they cheered! Hope you enjoy this just a smidgeon as much as I did.

There are parades going on almost all day long in some part of the city the last few days of Mardi Gras. This parade went right by the front of our hotel. There were people on the floats tossing beads--though I didn't see anyone flashing--more of that was going on from the balconies on Bourbon Street. ;) Also from the parade, though, I got a dozen new plastic cups--all different mardi gras colors and designs--that are perfect for the kids to use for their drinks.
