continue to hunt for the man wanted from yesterday's shooting at u-n-m hospital. we've got the latest on the search. right now police are still searching for the man who opened fire inside unm hospital yesterday afternoon... after beating up his girlfriend. we had the breaking news yesterday afternoon-- as authorities tried to hunt down cesar dominguez- garcia. our kayla anderson just talked with unm police for an update. she's live at the hospital with the latest in our big story. today police minute thumbnail 12:00 pm released this report about what unfolded inside unm hospital on the pediatric unit. a chaotic scene that sparked a 20- hour long manhunt... which isn't over yet. 21-year-old cesar dominguez- garcia was at unmh with his girlfriend... visiting the couple's 2-month old son in the pediatric unit. according to his girlfriend... the couple started arguing ... so she walked away and went into a bathroom. dominguez- garcia allegedly followed her, grabbed her, pushed her, choked her and hit her. her family overheard her begging him to stop... and that's when her father and brother intervened. dominguez garcia then got into a physical altercation with her brother. and, when her family went to call police, that's when dominguez- garcia pulled out a gun and fired into the ceiling. he took off running out of the hospital-- and hasn't been seen since.
