I was born in the fall, and I embrace fall fashion with every stitch in my sewing.  Aside from not liking to match colors, I love to layer as well. One basic piece you should definitely have for fall would be leggings.  They never go out of style, and even if they do they will always come back (Ahem Italian Renaissance Hose worn by  men).
