Over the past year, the term “Net Neutrality” has taken on increasingly greater import in the world of politics and policy, but the debate should really be seen as part a larger debate about the interplay of public policy and corporate strategy. The bigger questions are what is the kind of communications company that is (a) most likely to prosper, (b) most likely to drive economic growth and innovation throughout the economy, and (c) most likely to facilitate a broad range of civic communications? How will public policy drive or prevent the growth of such companies?
This high powered debate between celebrated DC powerbrokers and policy thought-leaders will attempt to plow past the rhetoric and figure out where we stand and where we should go in our efforts to advance the Internet and communications for the greatest individual and collective good.
