This project is one that I will never forget... for better or for worse. This project reminded me how unexpected the world of film making can be. How? Well, first, here is the original idea of 'The Odor 2':
Original Plot: 5 years have passed since Nathan was attacked by his teacher's feet and it's pungnent odor. Now determined to get his revenge, he hires a private investigator to uncover the mystery behind the Harlem High School Massacre. After the discovering the identitiy of the culprit that orchestrated the massacre, John and Nathan team up in order to bring justice to those who have died at the 'feet' of their teachers. (Expected Running Time: 50 Minutes)
The idea seemed cool and appeared to be an excellent extension. However, since the actor originally hired to portray Nathan and I were busy with the Spring Musical, I had to cut out of lot scenes from the plot and ultimately had to change plot.
Re-vised Plot : Nathan, after surviving a deadly attack from his teacher's feet and it's pungnent odor, decides to sneak back into the school and hack into the school's main frame in order to obtain information on teachers, which he intends to leak to the press. However, Nathan is stopped by Sean Feely, the JROTC teacher, and is ultimately killed. (Expected Running Time: 20 Minutes)
Sadly, Sean Feely had to travel to another state to tend with personal family issues. So, I replaced Feely with Patrick Riley. On the last week of filming, Riley got swamped with EOTC stuff that he couldn't attend any of the filming sessions. So, I had to instead film scenes with myself and try my best to create the illusion of a story.
However, I then learned I had bronchitis and soon was consumed with the burning sensation of a fever. So, feeling like crap, I spent the next two days just shooting whatever looked passable. I really did not feel like multitasking at the moment due to the fever.
So, now... this is what you get! I apologize if it does not meet your expectation, but hey, it was a stupid idea to begin with and I only did it to see if I could take something I originally hated and turn it into something passable. Obviously, I failed, but, knowing myself, I might not be ready to admit de'feet' and I might actually make The Odor 3, in hopes I could make it into a non-crap-fest.
Until, ENJOY!
