"I didn't intend to [speak out], until it became really clear to me that the industry is resorting to the same tactics they've used over the years, and particularly back in the early '90s, when they were leading the effort to kill the Clinton plan." Potter began his trip from health care spokesperson to reform advocate while back home in Tennessee. Potter attended a "health care expedition," a makeshift health clinic set up at a fairgrounds, and he tells Bill Moyers, "It was absolutely stunning. When I walked through the fairground gates, I saw hundreds of people lined up, in the rain. It was raining that day. Lined up, waiting to get care, in animal stalls. Animal stalls." Looking back over his long career, Potter sees an industry corrupted by Wall Street expectations and greed. According to Potter, insurers have every incentive to deny coverage — every dollar they don't pay out to a claim is a dollar they can add to their profits, and Wall Street investors demand they pay out less every year. Under these conditions, Potter says, "You don't think about individual people. You think about the numbers, and whether or not you're going to meet Wall Street's expectations."

BBC Bias Vs John Kelly Vladimir Bukovsky

John Kelly had a Court date because he had not paid his BBC license for several years. Vladimir Bukovsky came is support and has not paid for years. The reason they do not pay is that the BBC puts out more propaganda year by year despite the wishes of the people. The BBC as a public entity is supposed to be unbiased, instead they constantly and purposefully color their presentations with an agenda of their own and ignoring coverage of UKIP candidates in the past and now and are Pro European . Bias claim man fined over licence
A pensioner who accuses the BBC of bias has been fined for refusing to pay his television licence fee for more than six years.
Retired engineer John Kelly, 70, from Exmouth, Devon, pleaded guilty at Exeter Magistrates' Court.
He has withheld payment since 2002, accusing the BBC of being pro-European.
Magistrate David Youngs told Kelly: "We are here to uphold the law of the land. If you have a TV you have to have a TV licence." He was fined a total of £315.
Representing himself, Kelly told the court the BBC breached its Royal Charter obligation of impartiality on the issue of the EU.
'Ominous parallels'
He said there was a "mountain of evidence" against the BBC, including an apology in 2007 for not including the UKIP party in its coverage of the Lisbon Treaty.
After reading about half of a prepared statement, Kelly was told by the three magistrates to "leave it there".
The other half of his statement was said to be about "bias and incompetence" within the BBC complaints procedure and the TV Licensing Authority.
Kelly said there were "ominous parallels" in the UK with Russian dissident Vladamir Bukovsky who had spent 12 years in a gulag for challenging the authoritarian state.
He told the court: "I like the BBC, I have no wish to avoid paying the license
fee and would wish to to continue - provided the BBC adheres to its side of the bargain, which at present it does not."
Kelly said the future license fee would be deposited "in escrow" [with a third party] with his solicitor, who would hold on to the money until the BBC "obeys the law and the Royal Charter".
Afterwards Kelly, who had banner waving supporters outside the court, said: "The magistrates cut me off in my prime - I was only half way through my 1,620 word statement."
The Television Licensing Authority said anyone watching or recording TV programmes without a valid license risked prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000.

Mysterious lights seen at the Eceti Ranch Trout Lake Washington at the foot of Mt Adams. This is recent footage taken at the Science Spirit and World Transformation Conference July 4 2009 weekend. A Ufo hotspot. For many years lights like these have been seen by Fire Tower Spotters and Ufo Enthusiasts. At times, more UFOs are seen than fires at the towers. Usually lights are seen on a particular area of Mt Adams but this night are seen at this unusual location. The lights strobe irregularly and pop up in different locations every time.

Gordon Brown's New Britishness in Nottingham

A visit to Nottingham England reveals some new changes...for the better or worse is the question. The traditional is being replaced by the generic to fit in with the program. The old sense of Britishness is being replaced by the New Britishness of Gordon Brown and New Labour. Exported Jobs, Open borders, Changing Demographics, loss of National Sovereignty and identity, and Political Correctness mandated by British law and EU directives breaking down the country. Part of a plan or just a random event? Gordon Brown, as all high office New Labour, belongs to the Fabian Society.
The society was named after the Roman general Fabius Maximus who used delaying tactics waiting for the ideal opportunity. The society's motto -- "For the right moment you must wait... but when the right moment comes you must strike hard" - and the tortoise is their mascot who is slow moving but bites hard.
The new Face of Britain is a generic one with diminishing contact with the past history of its indigenous people.... That is under New Labour. People are waking up to this fact now. In the latest European 09 election New Labour had a dismal turnout with UKIP and Conservatives getting the vote.
