This video is of a presentation from the iKMS annual conference (KM Singapore 2007 - www.kmsingapore.com) on 1st November 2007. iKMS President Patrick Lambe describes how Singapore organisations fare against the rest of the world in terms of the support they give to KM, and the degree to which they invest in the personal competencies of knowledge managers, and the organisational competencies in implementing KM. The content is based on a global survey involving over 200 respondents from Asia, Australasia, Europe and North America. While Singapore comes out fairly well, the overal picture is fairly poor. KM is typically under-supported by senior management, knowledge managers have short life-cycles, little KM qualification, experience or training, and poor career prospects.
