Jaffa Lam is a prolific artist who specialises in site-specific work with sculpture installation. Her eclectic oeuvre reflects an underlying and profound interest in specific historical events, social themes and cultural or urban issues.
Lam’s works have been featured in the Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibitions in 1996, 2003, 2005, 2001 and been selected as artist in Neighbourhood Scheme 2003.
She has also been invited to show in New Zealand, Singapore and Macau, New York, Germany and residency programme: The International Artists’ Workshop inTaiwan (2003) and Kenya (2004), The Shanghai Pottery Workshop, China (2004), The Britto Arts Trust, Bangladesh (2005) and Tree Museum, Canada (2007).
In 2006, Lam received the Asia Cultural Council Fellowship, and in 2007, the Urban Glass Visiting Artist Fellowship in New York, U.S.A.
