Shortly after he'd inspired all at TED India in an inspiring talk, Anupam Mishra spent time with Akvo's partner Arghyam in Bangalore. Thomas Bjelkeman was there, and had the chance to interview him on his philosophy and experience. He explained to Arghyam that communities in some of the most "water poor" environments have solved water shortage in very practical and ingenious ways. Ways that have survived for hundreds, indeed nearly a thousand years. He contrasts this with how modern efforts to solve water problems which do not engage the local community can fail miserably. In this video we have some excerpts of what was said and how people interpreted this. In order of appearance, Anupam Mishra, Praveena Sridhar and Deepak Menon .
